First time here tonight and we will be returning. The space this restaurant occupies is much smaller than we expected. We visited on a Friday and the foot traffic was very busy. So we asked to be seated at the bar. If you plan on going with a larger group I would definitely recommend you call ahead to reserve a table. They also offer take out orders! Although the restaurant was extremely busy the waitresses and waiter were extremely polite and attentive, even to the people waiting for a table to open (offered water during their wait). We were pleasantly surprised when the waitresses recalled not only the one or two couples that sat next to us but people who stopped by for their pickup orders. This shows that they value their customers which is definitely a plus for me. The food was delicious! The rice they used for their rolls were not hard, the flavors were definitely all there, and I can definitely say I enjoyed their soup! We also did a take out order of the chicken & steak hibachi for then kids at home and they also enjoyed their dishes very much. Everything was packaged nicely along with the salad and soup that accompanied it. I would definitely recommend Ten Sushi over the buffet sushi resturants if you are looking for decent sushi. Read moreWent here for sushi and Hibachi based on the myriad of 4/5 star reviews, and I don’t know where other people providing said reviews are eating at but it cannot be the same place, or you have simply not experienced good Japanese cuisine.
The soup was bland and flavorless, the salad had iceberg lettuce, one slice of cucumber, and a quarter slice of tomato. (I should have stopped there) The dressing tasted mayo based as opposed to a fresh ginger dressing.
The sushi was pretty basic and quite poorly rolled and the garnish was sad. The Hibachi salmon dish I had was also subpar. The fish was over cooked, the vegetables were bland and oily, the noodles were not palatable and the rice was unseasoned. Everything really was under seasoned, and the temps of the food were all over. The server did remove the hibachi from my bill and seemed surprised that I didn’t like it. But she tried to charge me for the terrible soup which is part of the hibachi and I had taken one sip and left it alone. She felt some kind of way about it and was ultimately rude when I checked out. She said they make this all the time and mumbled something else under her breath.
I will not go back and would...
Read moreGrand Opening - Day 2 Expected a take out place, but happily saw it was a sit-down restaurant. The evening was perfection. Warm wet naps to cleanse your hands before eating. Ordered a bottled beer, which was ice cold. Son ordered a strawberry banana martini, which was delicious as well as beautiful. Started off with a sushi roll which was almost too beautiful to eat. I've never had a warm sushi roll. Amazing flavor. Next came our meal, which we split - hibachi steak and shrimp, another dish too beautiful to eat, but we devoured it. Seasoned to perfection. Also tried their calamari, which looked to be steamed or grilled. No heavy batter, just fresh meat. The calamari rested on a green leaf decorated with a pink flower. Just beautiful.
Paid the bill and while we waited our lovely server brought us a free dessert plate of pineapple and orange wedges with cream topping. The orange was prepared in an artistic shape and tasted great.
Prices were slightly above average, other than the specials, but it was so worth it. A very very good experience.
We acknowledged the chefs and the wait staff on an awesome job they did. ...
