They have hospital grade air handlers with same kind of hydrogen peroxide sanitizer system used by the air handlers in hospitals. (2 of them and they are very very expensive, installed early in pandemic and as a result with their cleaning practices and other changes they were one of the only places in Tucson and Marana that had indoor dining during the pandemic after the air handlers and distance guidelines were defined by Pima County!) Their cleaning practices continue to be excellent and always were, especially with the dining room hosts handing the dining room..., using strong cleaners shown to kill any traces of the coronavirus and just about any other germ. The tables are cleaned very soon after a guest has left most of the time.
The dining hosts work their tails off and I am sure Brian doesn't appreciate them enough or possibly pay them enough as they eventually burn out and go elsewhere or move on...as turnover has been steady since Dan left the evening dining host has changed at least 5 to 7 times. It is a hectic of a lot of work for one and really often is the work of 2 but one is forced to do it, in super high gear for 90 minutes up to or exceeding two hours many nights. (Yeah, I sometimes stay that long and enjoy my food and read a book for a while or similar as long as I'm not in peak times, as I try to avoid that when table need is higher. You don't get to signature status on their app rewards program by not eating there often and spending money there...I do both ...even though the latter is constrained by my very limited income.) The front staff who get temporary reassigned to help or assigned when dining hosts are out, with several exceptions, cannot hold a candle to the dedicated dining room hosts! Not that they are slacking off but they don't work at the speed and intensity of the hosts...
Often they don't have a dining room host early in morning I have noticed as a result sometimes tables and dining room can get messy. Then when the dining room host comes on shift around 10 she/he has to work their tail off to get things cleaned up. Not a good move or very nice to do this to the dining room hosts.
The air handlers are cleaning the air at a high rate minimizing your risk as well. I would say it is probably one of the safest restaurants you can sit down to enjoy a meal in Tucson.
Like all Chick-fil-As the food is excellent. People working there are very pleasant and generally happy. Owner, Brian, is a great guy too...he has a passion for first responders and you gotta appreciate how well he takes care of them.
Overall a great location and a credit to Cathy Pruitt's vision, policies, ethics, and model for what a great restaurant would be like. I am pretty sure I met Mr. Pruitt many many years ago and it was a pleasure to do so and speak with him briefly. He was visiting the area I lived in and I happened to stop in to one of the Chick-fil-A restaurants he was at...unknown to me at the time that he was going to be there.
I remember eating at Chick-fil-A when I was in college 36-40 years ago and don't remember the first time I had a Chick-fil-A sandwich.
Prices have gone up quite a bit and it is getting expensive to enjoy a meal at...
Read moreJust WOW. Today my toddler and I were attacked by an employee, Dan, while dining. It was so alarming my first response was shock. My toddler found a promo cow toy in a drawer that was open in the dining area. After 10min of playing w the toy, Dan snatches it out of my toddler's hand and reprimands me for 'going thru HIS drawer' saying it was 'a present' for someone. I was in such shock that i didn't set him straight, at first.
After the reality sunk in and multiple witnesses told me how crazy it was to watch, a grandma that witnessed the attack and another couple of ppl, told me we should talk to a manager, I realized how inappropriate this older employee chose to behave. Dan even continued to make inflammatory remarks about my son and I to other customers, and told me directly, "I'll quit over it". We spoke w training manager, Heidi, who immediately returned the toy to my child. However, Dan continued to harass us, making snarky comments to other ppl there about us. I did not feel safe and we left.
I went here a lot bc the playspace here is so clean. Often my toddler and i had playdates here w other moms from our local mom groups. That's why it's such a shame that this employee was allowed to stay on the floor and harass us repeatedly. I definitely do not feel safe taking any children here if employees are allowed to harass children and...

Most of the time when we go, we use the app to order ahead and pick up since we're feeding a lot of people. As previously stated, it's become hit or miss to whether we got our order correct or not. In the past, we've either gotten something different than what we ordered, or missing items (unfortunately the latter is the more common). Tonight when we ordered, they brought our food, and it was not missing one, but three different items (sandwiches and nuggets). Needless to say we weren't very happy about that and while they did get us those for free and gave us some coupons to make up for it, it's still not that great when we're missing multiple items.
With the negatives out of the way, a few good things about this restaurant. As with almost every other CFA, the employees are great and friendly. While the drive thru can get backed up, small orders are usually out pretty quickly and are correct.
Original Review (2019, 5 stars): I've only been to this location a few times, and it's up to their standards. Service can get a little slow at times, but it's usually not too bad. The last time I went they did get my order wrong, but it wasn't too far off. The staff is extremely friendly too, and I will continue to come to this location...
