Embassy Plaza — Local services in Marana

I was surprised to find that the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market had closed down. I had heard the pharmacy had closed but didn't know the entire store would close.

I shopped for shoes at Big 5 Sporting Goods. I found a pair of New Balance 560 sneakers that seem to fit well and bought a pair of off-brand hiking boots I liked. The soles were quite rigid. Something I had been looking for.

I bought an Entertainment Guide recently and it had $15 off a $75 purchase coupon. One of the reasons I went there.

I have bought NB shoes there for many years until my favorite model was discontinued. But now I'm back. There's an Ina Rd Sweepstakes going on now. Local businesses give out an entry card for free.

I looked at Target across the street first. Oh boy! What a waste of time! They had no name brand shoes at all! Not even Dr Scholl's! I left...

It was ok I guess. When we first got there, we had to walk a long way to get to our room from the lobby, but when we arrived the key didn't work and when we called the front desk the clerk immediately said he could re-key the card, but he couldn't come to us, mind you, there wad absolutely nobody else there checking in. After getting the new key and opening the door we found the room slightly used. Apparently somebody had taken a nsp and watched some tv. When we called back down to the office, the clerk asked if we were sure no one ran in and laid down real quick. What a doorknob he was. I think he'd be better off working for chase bank, he's right about their customer service teams intelligence level when it comes to knowing how to treat the customer. Anyway, the place served...

I like everything on this side of town. It's really sad that poor people (of whom I am a part of) can't have nice stores and shopping centers. They don't build nice, big, open parking lots on the poor side of town. Then again, people in my neighborhood don't care that they have yards full of junk, broken cars and overgrown vegetation.
