I was surprised to find that the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market had closed down. I had heard the pharmacy had closed but didn't know the entire store would close.
I shopped for shoes at Big 5 Sporting Goods. I found a pair of New Balance 560 sneakers that seem to fit well and bought a pair of off-brand hiking boots I liked. The soles were quite rigid. Something I had been looking for.

When we first got there, we had to walk a long way to get to our room from the lobby, but when we arrived the key didn't work and when we called the front desk the clerk immediately said he could re-key the card, but he couldn't come to us, mind you, there wad absolutely nobody else there checking in. After getting the new key and opening the door we found the room slightly used. Apparently somebody had taken a nsp and watched some tv. When we called back down to the office, the clerk asked if we were sure no one ran in and laid down real quick. What a doorknob he was. I think he'd be better off working for chase bank, he's right about their customer service teams intelligence level when it comes to knowing how to treat the customer. Anyway, the place served...
