This place is ridiculous they obviously like to skimp on food. I'm starting to think some of these places do pay people for good reviews. The food is mediocre and nothing special. They gave me these small little containers and on top of that it had little food in them. Even the steamed white rice looked like it came in a toy box. I also asked for 2 extra chilli oil which are these tiny little cups and the guy who I'm assuming was the owner or manager there said he would only bring me 1. Assuming that I wouldn't pay extra. He didn't even put soy sauce in my bag. He ended up bringing me another tiny little cup of chili that was half full. He can put on a fake smile all he wants that's still bad customer service. I've been to a couple of other Chinese restaurants recently and what a coincidence that they gave me the same size containers which were slightly bigger with a moderate amount of food, not too much not too little. I definitely don't recommend this place if they think they're saving money on food they just lost a customer. I should've taken my money somewhere else and left the food there they obviously...
Read moreIt's a tiny little shop with classic decor you'd expect to see in a Chinese restaurant. You can tell this is a small family-run operation. The server is young, friendly, and fun to joke around with, and he did a great job taking care of us. I wasn't a big fan of the egg drop soup because it tasted more like chicken soup to me. But the cheng tu beef more than made up for it. It has a rich brown gravy with just a little kick of spice. The beef was tender and the veggies were crisp, fresh, and done perfectly. Even if you're not a rice fan, you'll want to eat every morsel to get up that gravy. It was so good. The Chinese mustard they carry kicks like a mule (which I love; my sinuses are super clear now). My only complaint might be the price of drinks. Ouch. But the price for a full meal (combo plate) is like ~13-16 before drink. As most places charge 2.50-3.00 for a drink anyway, I think it balances...
Read moreFirst time dining at Linh Nam. I had a combination plate of Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Roll + Wonton, and General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. These folks put their own spin own these dishes and it was delicious! The eggrolls were delicious but the dipping sauce was not to my tastes. Fortunately the eggrolls are so good you don't need a dip. Their fried rice is slightly smoky with a heavy sesame oil flavor that complimented the General Tso's Chicken well. The General Tso's Chicken was less heavily breaded than I've had elsewhere which was a plus for me. The sauce was very flavorful, moderately spicy, and much less sweet than I've had elsewhere. I really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite take on General Tso's. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Will be back for more. Thanks for a...
