Big Al's — Restaurant in Marco Island

Their subs are really good. I lived in Marco for 4 months. I would have went and got their subs many more times, I crave subs all the time and could eat them everyday. The second time I visited this sub shop though, I was very shocked when the girl helped the person behind me in line when I was already there for 10 minutes waiting in line before that person arrived. Probably the rudest customer service I've ever experienced.

*Edit in response to owner: That's funny because half the time you guys don't answer the phone because you are busy. I've tried calling other times and couldn't get through, so I had to just come in to order. Glad I don't live in Marco anymore and when I do come to Marco, I support great customer service and food establishments! And secondly, just bc someone called and ordered ahead of time (or texted you), does NOT mean you help them and skip other people in line who were literally waiting there for over 10 minutes. For someone like me who lives on the island .This place is terrible, customer service humiliated and embarrassed me in front of the entire store because I mistaken celery for onion. I'm highly allergic to onion, so when I bit into my chicken salad sandwich. I thought I tasted the sour taste of onion, (which could possibly kill me so I'm cautious) so I peel back the wrap and see small squares which appear to look like onion. I get up and speak to the women and show them ,(what looks like onion.) They harassed me started making fun because its celery saying things like "you want extra onion"? laughing making jokes being ridiculously rude . the customer service was appalling and absurd and will never return for any reason I wouldn't recommend this place. While recently vacationing in Marco Island, we ordered subs to bring out on the boat.

I called ahead at 9:30 for an 11:00 pickup for 7 large subs. I person who took my order was very nice and efficient and even offered to cut and wrap in smaller sizes to fit better in a cooler.

When we showed up we waited in line and were surprised how busy they were this early in the day. We paid and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the rest of our sandwich to be made which made us late for our boat launch.

The sandwiches were delicious and we ate them all over the next few days. Great quality ingredients and very friendly service. I would highly recommend calling ahead as early as possible if you have time constraints.
