Wendy's — Restaurant in Margate

Absolutely rude manager, Gemelia. I placed my order with no lettuce on my sandwich because I'm allergic. The person that took the order confirmed no lettuce. I got home with my order and it had lettuce on it. I went back there to get a refund and the person who took the order is arguing that I should have check my order before I left because that's not her job. The manager, Gemelia, came to the window and said she doesn't have the authority to issue a refund. I told her call the manager and find out how to give me the refund because they tried to kill me. She told me I need to waste a 3rd trip there tomorrow to get a refund and refused to call the manager. I said I'm not moving without my refund and she start cursing at me saying she's a bad b... and she would call the cops. I told her go ahead and tell them she tried to kill me. She called the cops and continued to curse as another employee tried to calm her down. The cops came and she refused to provide a refund, even cash, and couldn't even provide my receipt since I didn’t get one when I got my order. She decided to give me someone else's receipt with their debit card info. on it. I told the cops that wasn't my card info. and she told them that it doesn't matter just take that one to get a refund because she isn't going to look through all the orders to find mine. They messed up my order that was confirmed twice, then refused to provide a refund, called the cops and then gave me someone else's debit card number. She deserves to be...

It was not my first time being there but it was the first time in a while. When I went up to the counter to order food there was a lady with her back facing me counting money with her bare hands short petite older woman.. perhaps the manager. So another young lady took my order she was not wearing gloves as well typically the case, however she was helping out with food.

There was only one person out of all the people handling food actually wearing gloves and that was this one guy who I guess was the one making the burgers. The manager handled my food picking up my fries putting them in a bag with no gloves on after dealing with money. Then another lady with long braids with no gloves was handling my chicken nuggets at the Nugget station.. and the one who took my order with long dreads and I said before no gloves was helping with food as well.

It was just not a sanitary atmosphere they didn't care how they handle people's food and if I still have the receipt I will report to higher ups how their employees are very unsanitary. I hope this helps someone else who visits this particular location because it has...

Today 06/18/2025 at approximately 1210.I visited your Margate FL store at 499 N State Rd 7, Margate, FL 33063, upon my entry into the drive way, I was pleasantly greeted by your cashier Emmanuela at the intercome.Her greeting was so energetic and uplifting, just by her tone of voice, it felt energetically welcoming and very comfortable. I made my order of a biggie JBC BIGGIE bag, she was very prompt, and offered my total, I then headed to the 2nd window to pay, I understand the technicality behind her duties, but her commitment to the delivery of the transcript made me feel very welcome, by the time I approach the window to pay. I was pleased to have confirmed that her energy matched the way she projected herself. I LOVED that experience! also her supervisor Jordan, was standing in proximity and she complimented him as her supervisor/ trainer .That was a beautiful exchange😁 Wendys, please keep both Emmanuela and her superivior Jordan well paid, and promote them into further leadership roles!
