I initially had a great experience at iLash Nail Spa, which is why I returned a few weeks agoâand once again, the service was excellent. Unfortunately, that consistency ended with my most recent visit.
From the moment I walked in, I clearly stated that I wanted a dip refill, a pedicure, and my eyebrows arched. The young man who did my pedicure was very gentle, and although the polish job wasnât the best quality, I appreciated his kindness and took that into consideration. I try not to be overly critical when someone shows care.
However, things took a turn when I sat at the second technicianâs table. He asked what I wanted, and I repeated that I wanted dip powder on my nails and even showed him the two nails I wanted a design on. I asked specifically for royal blue dip powder.
As I sat patiently, I noticed he began applying something that didnât look like dip. I asked, âWhat are you doing?â He responded, âDonât worry, I got you. Trust me.â Still, I watched closely and saw him pull out a bottle of royal blue gel polish and start painting my nails. He quickly got through four nails before I stopped him and said, âThis isnât dip powder.â He casually replied, âOf course not, itâs gel polish.â
At that point, I was extremely frustrated. Regardless of how nice the polish may have looked, it was not the service I asked for. I used gel polish for years and intentionally switched to dip powder because Iâm aware of the long-term damage gel can cause to the nail bed.
He then tried to justify it by saying how âbeautifulâ my nails were and wrote down a charge of $50, as if that explained or excused the mistake. I voiced my concern to someone I assumed was the manager, who suddenly pretended not to understand meâyet had no trouble announcing â$90â when I requested my eyebrows to be done. Somehow, that part was clear.
Ladies, Iâm leaving this review as a precaution. I donât feel they were compassionate or sensitive to my needs as a paying customer. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and ultimately ignoredâespecially after being a loyal patron.
Needless to say, I will not return. I work too hard to spend money on a service I didnât receive and to be met with no effort to correct the mistake or offer any form of compensation.
And just for clarity: dip and gel are not the same. Itâs not a minor misunderstandingâitâs a completely different service. Food...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews but I had the worst service there. I took my daughter to get her nails and toes polished for her 11th birthday . I asked for Queen or Tammy as I was referred but they were busy. The older lady there said she will do it, she polish her finger nails, while I was doing mines. I told my daughter let me see her nails and each finger was half polished. I told the lady doing my nails, that her nails need to be fixed. She told the lady and the lady said she wasn't done. My daughter went back and she fixed it (so I thought) and polish her toes. She had her go dry her nails. When she was done, I looked at it, it was even worst. Her finger nails was not fully polish and she had nail polish all over her hands. I again told the one doing my nails to look at her hands, her nails is not done right. At that point she told the lady something who came approaching my daughter and grab her hands. Yelling and speaking in her language. She than pushed her hands down, grabbed it again, than shoved her back and told her "get nother color, get nother color" I advised her to not touch my child and that she don't want another color, she just didn't polish it right. She again grabbed her, telling her to come fix nail, come fix nail. I told her again not to touch my child and someone else need to fix her nail. Which someone else did but that too was garbage. I will never again go there. My daughter told me afterwords how she kept roughing her up when I told her the first time to fix it. Lord knows I was being courteous with them as I let it slide and not shove her back for my child. The service was horrible, I would not refer anyone there nor ever come back. 24 hours later my gel polish...
Read moreUPDATE: I posted this review while I was waiting on my grandmother to finish with her nails. The manager approached me & proceded to harass me over this negative review. He kept reiterating that he âgot us in even without an appointmentâ & he âjust wanted me to be happy.â When we mentioned that the equipment wasnât being sanitized, he didnât even acknowledge it was said. He never offered an apology. He asked me to take my review down, which I will not do. People deserve to know the truth about a place! I didnât want ti start an argument in a public place, plus he wasnât worth my time. But he would NOT leave me alone. I ended up turning to my aunt, who was sitting next to me, to start a different conversation so the manager would take the hint. He finally left me alone. Again, I will not be going back after being treated like this by management.
This place is just not good. From the moment I walked in, I was disgusted with the service. My mom called 2 weeks in advanced to make an appointment for Motherâs Day for 4 of us. We walked in, the girl at the front desk had a bad attitude, and the person who took the call never put us in the appointment book! So, we had to wait to be seen & deal with an attitude for ânot having an appointment.â At this point, we should have walked out. I was not very impressed with my pedicure either. Most places give you an option for what you want, but not here. My nail tech didnât ask what I wanted, but started the pedicure before the water even touched my toes. I could have just saved money and done it myself at home. Overall, for my first experience with this place, I will not be coming back. Save your money and...
