Made reservations. No table available when we arrived. Sat at the bar. They asked us what we wanted to drink. We sampled a beer then ordered beers. We requested water twice and never received it. We requested a menu twice. Other couples sat beside us and received menus immediately and water. My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief. Felt invisible. Finally stopped the lead bartender and requested an appetizer. I finished my beer and sat there for about 10 minutes. Neither asked if I wanted another beer. The couple to our right had their dinner before we had our appetizer and were finishing their dinner right when the lead bartender (after 45 minutes) asked if we wanted dinner. So, I stated to provide the bill. I further stated we came for dinner but didn’t want to have dinner with the second set of couples that came in after us also. He said he was waiting on us to finish our appetizer. He knows that is not right. Especially after 45 minutes. He said “I’m sorry” in a monotone voice so I repeated myself thinking he didn’t hear me. He said it the exact same way the next time so I realized he heard me but was not sincere. Not sure what we did wrong, so please let us know after you read this. Honestly, I thought we were on some hidden camera show on how long a customer would sit their while not being taken care of. We were respectful while voicing what had occurred. So, we went to the House of Wines for dinner, walked in they asked how we were and indicated what had just happened and they said to sit down and they would take care of us. We love Spagna’s and are frequent customers but now will take our...
Read morePresentation looks better than the bland, cold taste of each dish. Bruschetta is not genuine, Italian style, very flavorless. Shellfish, served cold, like our unattentive server had forgotten our meal when it was ready. Atmosphere, much too dark then should be. Service was poor on management's part. They never cared to come to our table to resolve issues. Server was nice for the most part but was distant many times, not removing dirty dushes. We however still gave her over 30%tip regardless. I wasn't pleased whatsoever with my meal. Very disappointed. Over priced, over rated, very disappointed. Americanized (very!) Italian cuisine. Couple hundred $$$ later, after a long wait to order, long wait to be served, long wait for everything, I left hungry, distraught and disappointed. I will not go back. If you want authentic Italian cuisine, this is NOT where I'd recommend to dine. If you prefer mediocre, bland, overpriced Americanized Italian food, so be it. I'd rather save my wallet by going to a Pizza Hut, perhaps save a couple hundred dollars! This of course, just my experience, my suggestion. I do not recommend this to those looking for a true, genuine Italian cuisine experience. I've had authentic, and this establishment is NOT it. Buona Alimentazione...
Read moreVery nice dining experience for the most part. Easy to find for an out of towner. Plenty of parking. Seated immediately, although we arrived early. Small simple menu. Selected a bruschetta appetizer, egg plant parm, and lasagna. Partner ordered a Moscow Mule that was non-typical. Served in a soft drink glass that was mostly ginger beer. Bruschetta came, and it was excellant. Fresh and flavorful. Six servings and garnish. Side salads were small. Mostly radicchio with two cherry tomatoes. Entrees came, and they were hot out of the oven. Nice presentation. Light on the sauce. Heavy on ricotta and mozzarella. Very nice. The atmosphere and evening was fine until they seated a party of 15, who had obviously had a few ahead of coming, in the same room.decibel level went from small and intimate to 100 dB, same as a motorcycle. We finished our meal, skipped dessert and coffee, and left. The talk driving home wasn't about the great food and service but about the drunks they seated next to us. Absent a private room, some sound absorbent decor would help. Or some common...
