This is one of those reviews I hate giving. First, let me clearly state that the quality and taste of the food are not at issue here. What remains the issue is the underhanded pressuring techniques and unashamed up selling that occurred on our first and most assuredly last visit here. We were immediately seated and warmly greeted...so far so good. The owner, who is very limited in her English, took our drink orders and quickly returned with our 12 oz can of soda and glass of ice. (???) That should have been a big warning, but I didn't see what was coming yet. I was immersed in conversation with family members when my wife started talking with the owner/server who had come up to answer any questions we may have had about the menu. She was loud, but friendly, and was talking very quickly and wasn't really even letting my wife finish her question before she said, something like, "Since this is your first time here, I'm going to tell you what I would get if this were my family" and proceeded to show her a few things in the menu, including the family combos on the back of the menu. My wife was trying to keep up with the owner and her limited English and was just nodding and smiling and saying okay. I was only halfway paying attention because I was in a conversation myself, but when my wife handed her menu over and began explaining to her mom that we were all set and just going with what the server had recommended, I stopped paying it much mind. The Korean BBQ was very delicious I have to say, and we cooked it on the flaming grill in front of us. Like I said, so far so good. Then came the jolt of electricity that I had never anticipated, the check. For the recommended family platter, an extra order of meat, a personal sticky rice for each person, a 12 oz can of soda for everyone, a family side of rice noodle stir fry, and the 18% automatically included gratuity, our total came out to a mind-blowing $325. Understand, the food was good, but no way in heck was it THAT good! I asked for a breakdown of the bill and ANOTHER server explained each item.
Is it fair ro give a one star review when there was nothing wrong with the food? The extreme lack of value and extreme almost bullying selling technique earns it in my book, but you be the judge. I wasn't expecting Panda Express pricing, but I wasn't expecting to get hosed either. If you want good food and money is no object, you'll love the place. Value...
Read moreWorst dine in experience I've ever had, first off I am a local. We called days in advanced and let them know we where coming with a B-day party of 12. We arrived and they had our party split with two tables. Sure that's fine. We started an order off with X2 $150 BBQ orders. And let them know we intended to order more. A lady came and only set two grills. When we asked if we could have another grill so everyone could grill their own food she refused. Saying we needed to order at least two more dishes to get the 3rd grill. Sure fine we tried ordering two pork belly's $40 each. Then they said not enough the pork belly is too greasy you need a 3rd protein to get the extra grill going. We asked politely then eventually tried arguing our point that we will order more we just wanted to get an order started, And all they wanted to do was argue back. She had her point to get across and she got it. It was very hostile, The manager lady was very argumentative, and for people who are about to spend $600 with a forced 18% gratuity it had to be her way or the highway. So we went to sapporo's and had a wonderful night.
P.S. The gentleman who was initially serving was very nice and professional and tried to mitigate but mentioned that the manager which I'm assuming who was the lady will refuse to give us the grill if we don't order what she says we need in order to get another grill going. It felt like she was...
Read moreI am extremely dissatisfied and offended by the service at this restaurant. The staff were completely disrespectful and lacked basic manners. The moment we sat down, they were already rushing us to order, as if they couldn’t wait for us to settle. When our bibimbap arrived, the portion was ridiculous—hardly any beef and mostly vegetables. On top of that, the side dishes were only enough for one person, yet they expected the two of us to share such a small amount. The staff kept coming back to our table nonstop even when we didn’t call them, making us feel uncomfortable. While we were still eating, they had the nerve to ask if they could take away our plates and then shoved the bill at us before we were even finished. To top it off, they laughed in a way that felt insulting and degrading. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. If this is how your workers behave, you will drive customers away and ruin your...
