The service is absolutely terrible. I just tried to grab coffee at the drive through (5:50am June 28, 2025) and the person taking orders was the most rude, condescending, and unhelpful person I've ever run into at a Starbucks, which is saying a lot these days. For the store manager when you see this, it's case number CS14419461.
I asked for a drip coffee, light roast, no cream or sugar. I'm in a car and want to drink it, and Starbucks serves their coffee at temperatures that cause permanent injuries (see recent $50M verdict for burns that permanently disfigured a mans genitals). I asked that they put 7 or 8 ice cubes into it to bring the temperature down so I could drink it. When I asked for the ice cubes her response was "you want hot coffee with ice cubes?" like I was an idiot. I told her yes I'd like to bring it down to drinking temperature so I can drink it.
Then, I wanted to order a coffee for my wife, but I don't remember the exact drink she orders. Unfortunately, the "menu" by the drive through isn't a menu, it's just a board with a small fraction of the drinks they sell. I asked if they have something like a sweet cream late or something like that. She said they have a vanilla sweet cream cold brew. I asked if there was something similar but hot. She super condescendingly responded "no, we don't have a hot version of cold brew".
I obviously wasn't asking if they have a hot version of cold brew. I asked if they have a hot drink that is vanilla sweet cream or similar. I told her she was being really condescending and rude, and I left without buying the drinks.
For the prices they charge, you have to at least give good customer service. I can get better coffee drinks for the same price at multiple places nearby. I won't be coming back to this location, and honestly likely won't be back to any Starbucks location since I only went to this one for the convenience.
Starbucks used to sell customer service. When I worked there 20 years ago we were told that customer service was the product, not the coffee drinks that cost pennies to make. People are buying the customer service. I used to list my Starbucks work history on my resume as proof of my quality customer service skills. After this I wouldn't hire anyone with a Starbucks background for any...

Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I visit Starbucks nearly every day, but after repeated poor experiences at the Reservation Road & Del Monte location, I’m done. Twice now, I’ve placed a mobile order and arrived at the drive-thru at the time the app indicated my drink would be ready, only to be lectured by the barista that I need to wait longer before picking it up. Today, my order was placed at 9:16 AM, with an estimated pickup of 9:20 AM—I arrived at the drive-thru at 9:19 AM and was still met with attitude.
This isn't an issue of wait times; it's about pretentious, disrespectful service. If there's an actual policy about waiting longer, it should be reflected in the app. Otherwise, staff shouldn’t be condescending to customers for following the app's instructions.
I contacted customer service, and while they were polite and offered a small service recovery credit, I declined. I’m not looking for free drinks—I just expect basic courtesy when picking up my order. Instead, I’ll take my...
