Looking forward to coming here tonight to eat again this evening.Being from out of town and traveling around the country for my piano and organ service work has allowed me to eat at some of the finest thai cuisine establishments throughout the country. My meal here last time(around 5 months ago) i enjoyed very much. Today was a total disastrous mess from the moment my piano technician friend and I arrived. I ordered by number and the rude waitress responded and quipped back( "i don't know what the numbers are....!) I didn't say anything and shrugged it off. I ordered thai tea to which she responded (we are out of that!) Then asked for a diet and water and she brought a water and hot tea to me instead. Still i said nothing. Our food came around 30-45 minutes later and she brought no refills to either of us. I had ordered the green curry with shrimp what was brought i thought was my friends 3 way chicken.....it was NOT she had brought me curry with chicken instead at a firey spice level (i asked for 3.5). Had realized only when my friends came and he asked for no spice and his was hotter than Satan's forked tongue. HE tried to eat it but couldnt and made him extremly nauseous (i hope i don't have to drive him to the emergency room😑). My spring rolls came out 10-15 minutes after the first 2 entrees. Then my 3d noodle dish came correctly with shrimp and zero spice sickeningly sweet🤢. The waiter and waitress seated and served multiple other later tables and left me sitting 30 mins+ no bill or boxes for the incorrect dishes ordered. Finally a bill was received....upon handing the rude deviant rotund waiter the money to pay(only had a $100 bill) he refused to take it got even more beligerently nasty and actually threatened me calling the cops .....what the hell? I have never been treated like this ever anywhere. These two (waiter and waitress) obviously haven t the first clue as to food service 101. I can tell you the food is mediocre at best. After this experience they need to be fired immediately. I recommend NOT coming here. I hope these two incompetent servers are fired they aren't smart enough to turn on a light switch! My vote skip it!!! Because of the rudeness you have lost two customers permanently......this place deserve...
Read moreIf I can give this place zero stars I would, but unfortunately, it doesn’t let me I’ve spent years traveling and I know seasonings and spices from pretty much all over I eat Thai on a regular basis I cook Thai. I’ve ate Thai from the motherland so when I tell you that this is not authentic, it is not authentic. I went in there today and asked for A soup and the soup was just full of chili flakes when I asked for some of it to be removed, I was told I had to pay for a new bowl. We got treated like if we did not want to pay for our food. Money doesn’t hurt this way sorry to burst your bubble. not to mention the cook, standing pretty much looking over us like if he was getting aggressive and angry , which made me feel very intimidated and scared for my life at this point. This is what happens when someone who thinks they can make money off of our motherland flavors and seasonings. you can spread false narratives to anyone else, but the real ones know this is not authentic. I’m sure the owner woke up one day and said “ I’m opening a Thai restaurant “ I would love to meet Jay from “Thailand”. So he can be able to tell me about his authentic cooking and recipes. Let me not mention the Ramen from the bag that was served to my child. If I wanted to give my daughter Ramen, I would’ve bought her some from the nearest Family Dollar and made it at home. The crab Rangoon is OBVIOUSLY frozen from a bag somewhere because whatever was in there was meaty and hard looking. I would n out even feed this to my dogs . Though the waitress did an amazing job at keeping professional, and she attended all of our needs. we will not be going back there and I’m going to continue spreading this word Jay’s Thai food is not authentic at all. It’s just noodles and sauce, rice and sauce and rice and chili flakes. If that’s what you call authentic Thai food well then so be it. But until you actually visit a real Thai food restaurants with real authentic cooks I don’t wanna hear how authentic...
Read moreWe waited over an hour to eat “pad-se-ew” and “fried rice”.
We actually didn’t initially order these dishes as we wanted some Pad Thai. They ran out of the noodles.
Because we weren’t able to get what we initially wanted, they offered some free appetizers. We chose the chicken spring rolls, as they told us it was the most popular. These were not seasoned and tasted like fried yesterdays leftover materials
After over 50 minutes of putting in our initial order, we finally got our food. My Pad Se Ew tasted like someone dumped soy sauce and sugar on top of some noodles. Imagine if someone who never tasted Thai food in their life was asked to cook this dish, this is exactly how it tasted.
My wife order a spicy fried rice, what we got was a soggy rice dish with some vegetables. I’ve never seen fried rice come out looking like a risotto at a Thai restaurant before.
I’m hoping this isn’t normal for this restaurant as it’s gotten great reviews. We had a TERRIBLE experience but hopefully they get their act together as I would love a good Thai place close...
