I am incredibly frustrated with the young woman who took my order tonight because of how dismissive, unfriendly, and unkind she was to not only me but also several other ladies she was working with. I ordered a small vanilla cone and a mini oreo fudge brownie blizzard that I redeemed with points. This was my first time trying the new blizzard and I didn't immediately remember the exact name of it but I was able to get 'the chocolate oreo and brownie blizzard' out before the young woman, named Emilee (or of a similar spelling), incredulously corrected me - and while I'm happy she knew what I meant, I felt like she saw taking my order like a nuisance. I am an incredibly anxious person and I have a hard time ordering and going in places as a result; this means that I need a bit of grace with my words and a moment to recompose myself after fumbling my words. So, having someone sharply cutoff my train of thought and then treat me as a nuisance made me quite frustrated not just with myself for not having my words prepared properly ahead of time but also with the young woman for her innate lack of empathy and kindness. I am very understanding if she may have had a long or annoying day, but to take it out on the people around her is indicative of a lack of social skills, self-control, and empathy. You are not the only person living a complicated life. I'm truly sorry you feel the need to direct your exhaustion or discontentment into a weapon towards the people around you. I hope you have a better day tomorrow, truly. I want to thank the young woman who was very kind when handing me the cone I'd ordered, offering an apology that I'd waited so long - which I'm 100% understanding of as it's the dinnertime rush (I believe her name started with and "A" but her name tag on her visor was upside-down and I didn't get a good opportunity to read it). Either way, you were very sweet and receptive towards the people around you - getting things done to help everyone keep up with the rush. As it was, my blizzard wasn't made correctly the first time, and when it was made correctly, it was only about half of the mini size, had nearly zero toppings, and was poorly mixed. I'm usually not one to rate so low, but I found the whole situation to be quite frustrating and quite upsetting. Literally, the only good things from this experience were 1. The kind young lady handing me the ice cream cone, and 2. The ice cream cone was apparently quite good.
Thank you for reading my essay of a review, I hope you have a good day...
Read moreCountless times my order was incorrect or when they made my blizzard it was incorrect. I never complained or called and threw a fit, until today. I asked them to remake my son and my order to make it something more common and simple. One of the blizzards that was remade literally tasted strong like it was spiked with urine or something acidic. I thought it was just me since I tasted the previous order who h had a huge chunk of something gross and unidentifiable. My son tasted it and said something was wrong with it. I tasted it on more time and I couldn't eat any more. There is no way my cookies and cream ice creme blizzard should have this taste to it. It was so strong. I have it frozen in case it need to be checked because my son started feeling nauseated and I was already feeling like that. Shame that it came to this because this is Marion' s local ice cream place. We were just discussing even buying an ice cream cake soon just for it seeming delicious. I won't do it now. First the girl answer the phone and talked over me, then I called back to find out who Ivan speak with that is the manager and she told me her name. She spoke to another person not at the store and will supposedly refund me for the two medium blizzards. If we get sick, I'm going to call the police and the news and chronicles.. I hope we do not. Two of the workers seemed high but I was very understanding and nice but I was upset when my ice cream tasted like either urine or drug or something strong is in it. Shame on whomever! My son was consuming this food too but people should not tamper with others food. It could kill someone you know. Since I wasn't mad or upset on top of it, extra shame on you ... very disappointed here folks. On the other hand, Muncie dairy queen which has no association to this one I was told, because I called them afraid what was in our ice cream, but they are phenomenal. Great service, great personalities, and seriously the best blizzards you can get. They know exactly how to make them, so perfectly. Try it and you will see. I'm laying down my stomach starting to cramp. Thanks for reading. Sorry to report a bad experience but you have to tell the good and the bad ones. It's...
Read moreCame in Saturday and the cashier at the drive-thru window tried to steal $11 from me. After taking my money and giving me my food he acted as if the transaction was finished. When I didn’t pull away he opened the window again and asked “anything else?” I told him I needed my change. When the window opened again it was the general manager who told me that she could take down my name and phone number and give me a call the next day if the drawer was over. Not understanding what she was even talking about, I asked her to clarify and she informed me that the first employee had already given me my change. I told her to check the cameras. This time she didn’t understand, and I told her to give me my change. She repeated her idea of calling me later if the drawer was over, and again I told her to check the cameras, because I was not given my money. Eventually she gave up and gave me my $11 without a word. I don’t know if she was in on the theft or not.
I’ve worked a cash register before and there is absolutely no way a cashier could possibly forget he hadn’t given me my change. This is a clear case of attempted theft and I’m disgusted that this type of person is able to work here. Perhaps they should drug test their employees more frequently to avoid...
