I have grown up in Marion all my life and have always loved the food here. The staff has always been attentive and very friendly. However, the last 3 visits there were far less enjoyable. The food tasted rather bland and tasted less than fresh. We got our food in sections, and the waitress came by our table one time the entire visit. We ordered carryout today and was there early enough to have to wait a few minutes for the food to be brought out. We were missing an order of tortillas, and the food was once again cold and the vegetables were not cooked all the way through. It was a little pricier than usual, so I went to check the receipt, only to find that there was not one in the bag, as I was told. My friend ordered arroz con carne, and the portion didn't even fill the bottom of the carryout tray. It's quite unfortunate because they used to have the best Mexican food in the area, hands down. Unfortunately, I think their food quality and service have slipped considerably in the past six months.
Addendum: When we took the food back and told them it was cold and improperly cooked, the manager was very friendly and apologized. He seemed very sincere and even cooked the food himself (which was absolutely delicious, just like the La Chas I remember!) Read moreWent tonight for a friends birthday dinner. My meal came out with a short, black hair on top which I knew was not mine. I told my server and he apologized & replaced it for me but it came after the rest of our party was finishing up their food. When it came back out, there was no green salsa on top which is what the dish comes with & is the reason I ordered it. The server said they were out of green salsa (my first plate had it on top) & that they were making more. After everyone else had finished their food and I had only taken a bite of mine, the server brought our bills out. He had given me 10% off on my bill and said, “I gave you a discount but it’s not much.” I finally worked up the nerve to tell him I thought that it wasn’t fair for me to pay even the price after a 10% discount for my meal that I didn’t eat and wasn’t what I ordered. At this point we had all boxed up our food and mine was still waiting on the green salsa. The server asked the manager to come out and talk to me as I was complaining about paying for the meal. I explained the situation to the manager and he took my bill but also took my food that I had in my to go box!!

Read moreI won't go back. A few months ago, several of us from work ordered carry out for lunch. When I went to pick it up, everyone's cost more than what the menu showed. When we called them, they told us they charged each of us an extra dollar for chips and salsa (which they never asked us if we wanted it and never said it would cost more). It does it not cost more in the restaurant? I ordered carry out today and she gave me a order number of 123. When I went to pick it up, she said 133. I told her I thought my order number was 123. She charged me the right amount, but when I returned to the office, it was not my order. I called right away and she argued with me on the phone that she told me what was in the order. All she said was lunch combo (which is what I ordered, but nothing that was in this combo). I explained that is why I told her I thought my number was 123. She kept arguing with me, so I finally hung up. Very poor customer service to charge you for chips they don't ask you if you want and to get the order wrong when you asked them about it and then argue with you! I will tell everyone I know...
