Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Marksville

It's better than the other Mexican restaurant in town. Unfortunately, this place is border line ok. The Salsa is not good! That is unacceptable. The food is okay. I have only found 2 dishes that satisfy my pallet. So many little things would make this place better. More attentive staff with better communication skills and maybe a smaller menu. My main issue is that the amount of money the food costs doesn't equal the quality of food. The melted plain queso is almost $9.00, almost as much as the one dish I like, huevos divorcio. Quite possibly the worst steak I've ever ordered at a restaurant. I literally bent my fork trying to cut my steak. The server asked how I wanted my steak. I said medium rare and they cooked it well done anyways. That steak was a joke. We ordered the sopapilla for dessert which took so long we almost left without it. The fried pastries were hard as a rock and we could barely bite through them. I know this is not a five star restaurant or a steakhouse, but you have to cook something half way decent of it's on your menu. Paid $20 for a steak and got nothing. This is my second time getting food from here. The first was a taco salad at drive thru. Well it was so terrible I had to bring it back. It was so watery and had absolutely no flavor. Shell was not even good. My second time I got the shrimp, steak and chicken nachos. The only thing you could taste was the thick cheese. Tasted like white velvetta.The shrimp were ok but...
