“chirp chirp,” went the birds. the sun peaked through my window. i slowly opened my eyes and felt hunger in my stomach. the sensation i was craving could only be fulfilled by ihop pancakes. i jumped on my moped and made my way to the ihop in marlboro. the designs on the windows were adorable and really set the winter tone. i opened the door and was instantly greeted with a welcoming “good morning!” by the lovely hostess. she instantly brought me to a clean table. i scanned the handy dandy QR code to show me the menu. how nifty!? in a matter of seconds, the friendly server asked me what drink i wanted. i was more than satisfied with the best tasting water in my life. the water paired perfectly with my pancakes and bacon. i drenched the pancake tower in sticky delicious strawberry syrup. i unwrapped the perfectly rolled utensils and fed my self the amazing food. every bite made me happy and reminded me why i have a great love for ihop. the perfect balance of sweet and salty really hit the spot. i also ordered a cookie hot chocolate, which was and incredible way to end my stay at this adorable restaurant. you should definitely come dine here!! the manager matt...
Read moreThis is a message for whoever plans on going here to eat. My husband and I ate a rotten piece of meat that was on my plate. I called board of health to go and take a look at their food. The people that were serving us were rude. I had to ask a manager to get my drink bc my waiter would not come back to bring my drink and took forever to take our order. I think it had something to do with have his earphones being in maybe talking on the phone while taking order which I also found very unprofessional. It’s sad that I had such a bad experience bc I truly enjoyed going to this specific location in morganville. Just be very weary what is on your plate when u receive it. The rotten piece of steak still haunts me to this day. The manager was super kind enough to bring out another fresh batch of steak tips. Food poisoning is a real thing guys. So just be very careful what’s on your plate. 2 out of the 6 maybe 7 waiters/waitresses are rude. So be cautious of...
Read moreWhat's this? Yep, it's a hair. I don't think I need to say anymore except I found that disgusting thing at the bottom of a pancake plate, but if that were the worst part it would have been okay. Stuff happens. Not even an "I am sorry" or "Let me take care of this for you" or "get you another one". Heck, anything but just a don't bother me "Okay"!
Thank goodness there was a good manager who made things right by offering an apology. We certainly weren't looking to get a freebie and expressed as much, nor did we accept one (she graciously offered) nor would we.
Customer service is key and clearly it did not apply to our waitress. Thankfully, it's people like their manager who won us over....
