Creepy Uncle Dave here. So I found myself looking for something to eat with my nieces and nephew. I found myself with the usual argument about where to go to eat. If you’ve ever spent any time with kids you would know that this could be a loud and lengthy event. So I popped some Advil and let the chaos ensue. Long story short we ended up here at Rosalita’s. This was definitely not our first time at this joint and we already knew what to expect, good food, great server’s and a great atmosphere. The two youngest who wanted to come here the most ordered chicken fingers and fries. Imagine that, all that wonderful Mexican food on the menu ant they want chicken fingers. Whatever. My boss once said, if you can get your customers kids sold on what you were trying to sell their parents you were most likely going to close the deal. At the time my sales were down so I tried to do what he said and found that a 6 month old didn’t give a damn about what I was trying to say in the least bit. Needless to say I didn’t get the sale and the parents weren’t too happy that I was showing their baby how I had planned to run the cables for the project. I guess that’s where the creepy came from. Oh well I tried. Anyway, the oldest one had the Gringo street tacos while I ordered the shredded chicken burrito. The burrito was stuffed to the max with chicken, rice and beans all topped with a tasty red sauce and cheese that tied it all together. I enjoyed it. My oldest niece didn’t have anything to say about her meal(probably because her head was stuck in her phone the entire time) but her plate was clean. If you leave this place still hungry it’s your own fault. They serve some pretty hefty portions. In any case I like this place and think you would to. Tell them I sent...
Read moreBeware, the “grilled chicken” on their new menu is NOT white meat chicken as most would assume when you see grilled chicken on a menu. We even asked if it was white meat before ordering and were told it was but once the dishes came it was clear it was dark meat. After bringing it up again, the waiter went and confirmed it was in fact dark meat. Manager and staff were more than friendly and accommodating when we told them we were upset. Ended up thinking we’d just get the chicken fingers since that would hopefully be white meat but it was the same as your typical frozen chicken nuggets with fillers after we took a bite of it so needless to say our dinner consisted of some chips and fries. Used to really enjoy it here as I’ve been there many times over the years but at this point I can’t say I’ll go back without any changes. There’s many other Mexican options in the area that we can go to. Hope it’s not the same with their other restaurants in the area that are listed on the same restaurant group.
**Response: Dennis, in response to you, in the past we have always asked for white meat chicken and never had an issue subbing that. Tonight my wife and daughter both asked for white meat in their quesadillas. We were told that would be no problem. When they came out and had dark meat inside we brought it up and were told there was no longer white meat available. We even brought up and said what if we ordered the fajita chicken and we were told it would be the same. Clearly there must be some kind of disconnect with the new menus and food options. The menu said “grilled chicken” and showing that on a menu, most people would always expect white meat and we had even asked when...
