Laker's Burgers and Pizza — Restaurant in Marquette Township

I've had the burger bus but it's nicer they have a physical store now, glad to have another fast food option in town that isn't corporate. Even though they were busy today had my food out fairly quickly and obviously it was delicious. Looking forward to trying the pizza.

Review Update: I tried the pizza, and as the kids say, it's slept on. This may be the best pizza I've tried in the area and I've pretty much have tried them all. I have had the burger bus a number of times and tried their sandwiches, but there pizza is fantastic. It's the only place in town I know you can get an actual margarita pizza that has fresh mozarella and basil as well as the dough tasting very fresh. I know there is another option in town (a truck), that has tomato basil but their dough is pre-fabbed, while lakers you can tell is handmade. It's the closests I've found to traditional neapolitan style in the area, the dough fresh, the cheese fresh, sauce tasted like fresh tomatos (not traditional pizza sauce), and the crust and bottom of the pizza had the leopard spotting. I also tried their pepperoni, more new york style and that was fantastic too. When they opened the lakers store I wondered why they would even try to offer pizza with so many options in the area but now I understand why. Disappointed. Mistake snowballs. Been a loyal customer of The Burger Bus and Lakers until now. Used DoorDash for dinner from Lakers ( so this pizza cost a lot more). Was craving to try their NY style pizza slices that my daughter had on previous visit l. Which looked delicious. These pics show what I received. Inedible -I tried. So my guess, staff working there left pizza in oven too long when adding sausage and mushrooms —I think they have cheese and pepperoni slices already made. And just add other stuff and toss back in oven when additional toppings are ordered. So I get the first mistake of forgetting the pizza in oven and burning them. They could have just delayed the DoorDash and fix this. Mistake 1. The big mistake that disappoints me is that the management never called me back to credit me for this loss of dinner. I called and left a message with staff to have management call and see the pics of what I received. I assumed the management and owners would care about customer service and customer loyalty. Never called me. Word of mouth does go a long way in this town. And on google. I left my number with your staff that...

Paid $3 for half of a burnt, charred piece of bacon. Asked for mayo and only got enough for a single bite. We wanted to order a couple slices of pizza, but because no one else other than our group wanted some slices, the cook refused to waste the pieces we wouldn’t be buying. This problem could be solved with a personal pan size. So we ended up getting burgers and fries, and they were delicious! Although made very sloppy. Asked for mayo and they gave us a flat square inch of it, only enough for one bite lol. Ridiculous price for the crappiest bacon I’ve ever laid eyes on. We asked for a vegetarian patty in one of the orders but didn’t get it, maybe the lady didn’t hear us? The atmosphere felt strange and dinery, wish there was more decorations in the eating area or at our table. I think this place was way too overpriced but we were only visiting the area, maybe all those kind of experiences are that expensive.

The owners do care about our experiences here and are willing to help make people experiences better, so even though mine was iffy yours may be better...
