My fiancé Ian came in yesterday for a haircut five days before our wedding. I have truly never seen a more lazy, atrocious men’s haircut in my life. I am APPALLED at how the stylist let him leave the salon. He came in just to have the sides faded into the pre existing haircut and I kid you not this stylist (a level 3 per my fiancé) cut the sides and not along the edges near the nape or the ears, leaving the length there at least an inch longer than the length around the sides. The sides were literally all different lengths varying by at least an inch. You know it’s bad when someone wanted faded sides and they literally walked out with a mullet (the exact opposite of fading around the edges). The stylist knew it was his pre-wedding cut as well. Horrendous.

Just had my first ever visit here after being a life long customer at another shop since the lady who cut my hair left and is always far too busy for me to book. I got the wonderful Katelyn and she did an amazing job giving me my hair cut. I know I asked for a pretty basic cut, but she delivered an amazing experience. The price is a bit more than I’m used to, but I honestly cannot complain. Good location, super sweet and kind staff and a nice vibe within the shop, added bonus that it was raining harder today (7/8/25) than it has ever before in the U.P, at least while I’ve been alive, outside of one exception from last years rainy season, the rain as an added bonus, and the wonderful and kind staff made it an exceptional and very relaxing experience. I took my 3 year old here for a haircut and we just said we’d schedule with whoever was available. We ended up seeing Johnny Mac and our experience was great. He was quick, but also paid attention to detail and talked with my son throughout. I found out after that he is still technically in his apprenticeship because someone checked the haircut over before we left, but I would have had no idea because it was just as good if not better than every other professional cut experience we’ve had. The woman who checked his cut over was extremely detail oriented and made one minor correction in an efficient way, and also was kind and understanding while teaching the minor tweak. Well worth $21.
