Summary: Don't go here if you want "fast food", they are VERY SLOW. Several drink syrups were out. Everyone waiting before us also waited a long time.
I rarely take time to leave reviews, but this place NEEDS some constructive criticism. Look at all the bad reviews and how long it's been. I'm amazed this place is still open. I was born and raised in this town, and this place is giving Marshall a very bad image. It was 11/25/2023, and I walked inside to order. I ordered at the screen because no one was at the counter, so I'm sure that's on purpose. Also, I don't recall seeing the menus turned on behind the counter, either. The order screen had a sign taped to it that said "no shakes, no ice cream." Nothing says "Welcome to McDonald's" more than that sign đ. Ordered only 1 medium qtr pounder combo (no special requests), a small frappe, & 2 packs of apple slices. Ordered at 11:04am. There was a family already waiting for food in the lobby and maybe 1 additional person. Used the women's restroom, it wasn't great but wasn't the worst, either. Toilet leaking a puddle so big that it was running out of the stall. I was given my empty drink cup and frappe about 10 mins in. I believe it was around this time they voluntarily told us they were waiting on fries to cook for the combo. I tried 3 of the sodas in the self-serve, and all were out of syrup. I had to wait a few to get someone's attention since NO ONE was out at the counter all, and I only ever saw someone come up to put food on the counter or walk by. I asked her to fill my drink from the back & mentioned at least 3 sodas were out in the lobby. She didn't seem concerned. She filled it, and it was out of syrup, too (I didn't think to taste it until I left, but I wasn't going back). During my wait, two separate customers at two different times were waiting in their cars (from car line "waiting area" or pickup, not sure) and they got sick of waiting and came inside to remind them of their orders. One worker, I believe I've seen her working there for many years, so I don't see what the issue is here? This place uses to be better. There wasn't a whole lot of conversation between the workers, no one seeming to tell anyone to pick up the pace... are all of them on their phones? Not enough help? Not working quickly? They have less to make with ice cream machine down đ. I saw 3 different faces come up front in total, but I could tell there were others in the back. I just couldn't see back there very well thanks to the wall that was added behind the counter. No one was friendly or smiling. I'm guessing at least 5 people were working there at the time, i have no idea if that's enough to run a McDonald's. The car line had maybe 3 cars when I first walked in, and I rarely saw a car pull through past the pickup window from the inside, so it's not like they were slammed. And no more than 2 new customers, one being a family of 4, walked in while I was waiting. It was not a really busy place. About 5 cars were in the line when I left, so they were really about to be hurting there. I've had long wait times at McDonald's before, but this was bad. Something is terribly wrong there & needs fixing. I won't go back until I start hearing better things...

Took 10mins for someone to take my order. I finally order a #6, 10 piece nugget meal, from a girl (wearing large square glasses, I failed to get her name unfortunately), maybe it's just me, but you would think that this wouldn't be too difficult of an order. 25 mins later I'm still waiting for my meal, finally get someone from the back to check and they said someone didn't tell them so it's not their fault, literally 4 people told me "it's not my fault" 0 of those apologies for anything the entire time. 5 mins later they grab some nuggets out of a tray that has been there the whole time. They give me my food. No fires... so i ask if I can get my fries, the girl looks at my receipt and says "u didn't get fries" because my receipt shows the nugget meal and doesn't list any individual fires. I ask if the no 6 comes with fries, she said "I donno". I start to leave because it's been over a half hr in this McDonald's, then I decided to just take it all back and get my $ back because on principal I'm not paying $7.38 for 10 nuggets when they offer 20 for $5. I go to return it and every worker in the front said it wasn't their fault, Finally got someone to get the the manager to handle my refund and she said it was someone who already had left's fault, even though the girl who messed it up was standing 3 ft from her. Worst McDonald's experience I have ever had. I have had hair in my food, completely wrong orders, missing orders etc before and have never felt the need to return less than $10 of "fast" food for a refund instead of eating when i was hungry. From the additional transactions I also saw take place while I was there this was not an isolated incident. I have pretty low expectations for a trip to McDonald's, so having an experience be this much worse than expected is saying allot. Hopefully this location can restaff with people who can have enough pride in themselves to actually do what they are employed to do with the slightest hint of consideration for paying customers.    Read moreUnfortunately I do not believe this store even deserves the 1 star that I'm giving. I attempted to enter the restaurant through two of the doors. One door on drive-thru side and one on parking lot side. Both doors were locked. After checking open/close times and seeing employees inside, I tried second door on parking lot side. This was the only one of the four doors that were open throughout the customer access areas. I went in and asked a crew member why so many of the doors were locked and she simply stated that they were always locked. I asked if perhaps a sign could be placed on the doors indicating which doors would allow access to the lobby and the crew member simply stated she couldn't do anything about it and asked if I would like to speak to the manager. She got the manager who did not introduce herself and was rude during the entire exchange. I asked about a sign and she said she would just get her keys and unlock the doors. Once I placed my order the crew member entered an item incorrectly and needed a code to void the item. She asked another crew member to get Monica again and the other crew member stated that the manager did not want to be disturbed again. After several minutes of considering whether or not to speak with the manager again the other crew member went to get her. Once the order was placed correctly I waited 12 minutes for four double cheeseburgers with only ketchup to be made. In the time I was waiting, one customer was told the ice cream machine and was out of order. Another couple came inside and decided to leave without ordering due to the poor service and long wait. Once I did get my order, upon checking I discovered that all four of the double cheeseburgers only ketchup that I ordered had at one point had mustard and pickles on them and the extra product had been scraped off instead of making a new sandwich. The crew members were more courteous, however they were also incompetent and lazy, resulting in the behavior taken when my order was entered incorrectly then changed.
