I'll be honest honest ice cream is great. Service. Not so great. Look. I'm a very polite person, I served in the Navy after high school. I have worked with all walks of life. Anyways, Every single time I have come here, I'm treated like a 3rd class person. Im brown skin and to start off my first experience here, I waited 30 minutes for coffee. (They forgot)the owner managed to make things okay and was kind. 2nd experience. I. Asked for no nuts, but was given nuts..again not a big deal but it's just my fiancee has braces and they are hard for her to chew. Regardless, even when making our order I'm treated like I'm being rushed. Or as if what I ask for is too much...normal things. 3rd experience, when taking my order I'm asked to repeat myself as if I'm not speaking correctly or something.... Not only did I notice it but the people behind us noticed it as well. That was July 3rd 2023. Just saying..I brushed off the first 2, but today on 3th of July, you come to enjoy some ice cream and you are embarrassed by the cashier who again forgot to bring me my coffee. When my fiancee tried to ask for assistance, the window was constantly closed in her face before she could get 2 words out of her mouth. We both are brown skin and just felt like this was a spoiler for us. Won't be returning. Truly...

I went to True North to be with my students. I had arrived early by driving so I could bring back some treats for staff in the building. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who asked if I was with a group. I replied yes. I said I am a special education teacher. I also said I wasn’t sure where they were at since I drove. He said “of course you don’t know…you are special ed.” My jaw must have hit the ground. I didn’t respond or laugh and ordered. After the kids were done ordering, I took my order to the car. As I was getting in the car I overheard the owner talking to another man about me. I decided to go up to talk to him. He at first denied that he was talking about me and then said yes he was talking and said he hoped that I didn’t take it the wrong way. The whole time he kept getting in my face in my personal space, I had to keep backing up. He said he commended me for saying something but continued to get in my face and said that he knows SPECIAL NEEDS and has SPECIAL NEEDS visit the store. The whole interaction was super uncomfortable and a horrible experience. I will not be visiting the store again. People are people first and they are Students WITH disabilities not “Special Ed” or...

The ice cream is homemade on site alot of variety. There is also adult fare ice creams to choose from, staff can tell you what a particular ice cream consists of. Try True North the ice cream is very delicious and worth the drive over to Marshall. They may not offer food but, they do sell quiches by Bakewell. These quiches are also homemade by a wonderful young woman that I first met at the Battle Creek Farmer's Market. You can also purchase these quiches at Continental Pastries in Battle Creek on Columbia. The quiches are not vegan but, are vegetarian friendly as there are quiches without meat. But, back to the ice cream. True North offers a three sampler the scoops are amptful sized, so come ready for some serious ice cream carnage lol. The mini cup is 1 scoop and then it goes to 2 scoops and more for a small and up to a large or waffle cone or waffle cup. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor options, there is a bike rack for parking your wheel's. Their located within walking distance to downtown Marshall and the majestic fountain. They're open daily 2-9pm...

It was our first time ever hearing of the place and we stopped in for ice cream. I was delighted to find out they make everything they serve in house, that's amazing! The flavors were very good however the way they serve things needs some work. My husband ordered a "small" cone and it was 3 scoops piled high- I think a child would be happy to get this much ice cream but my husband was truly looking for a small. I ordered mint chip with brownie pieces in a waffle bowl. I was hoping for to be mixed in but instead I got a bowl that someone just dumped 1/2 cup of brownie pieces on top of. Great flavor but it was again too much and the presentation wasn't what I'd expect. We'll be back and maybe order extra small of everything. It was a cute place to sit and have ice cream for sure.

This place is one of the best additions to Marshall in a long time. Great ice cream and treats. The menu changes, but they seem to keep some popular ones on there. They have tons of flavors, including adult ice cream for people 21 and up and dairy free items. I had a malt made with lemon ice cream today. I have only tried seven flavors so far. I love going there and picking up a couple pints to take home. The owners are so very nice. Everyone os greeted with a smile. They get busy, but they always send put your order quickly. If you are in Marshall, check this place out.

OMG! The butter pecan was fire!! The ice cream itself had a great flavor, not vanilla, and the pecans were chopped vs being whole. I loved it! There is a nice little seating area out under a pair of huge weeping willows. They even have a water dish for pets with auto fill. Everyone in our group loved their cones too. He makes his own ice cream everyday! What? Yes, fresh everyday! Stop by because you won't regret it!
