Dark Horse Commons — Restaurant in Marshall

I stopped in to buy some coffee to take home.. Unbelievable!! They had none in stock! No coffee!! None!! Said they wholesaled out to a major vendor, which leaves none left for customers! I then ordered a coffee to drink there. They magically produced a very small cup and said I had to get it myself. I noticed a tip jar right there. Wonder what the tip would be for. The customer actually does more to get a cup of coffee than the cashier. Maybe the tip is for the customers. Should be. I then poured myself a small cup of coffee. Unbelievable! It was watered down almost to the point of water only. This is advertised as a coffee shop? Really? I think they may be going out of business. Most of the shelves were bare and her attitude was not good. I will never go back and I will caution all of my friends as well.

I don't like fast food stores much but McDonald's coffee and service are 10 steps beyond this. You would think that a local store would try to be better than the fast food chains.

I have been here before and really enjoyed both the service and food.

I would like to say that was my experience today but I was not able to sit down, therefore I wasn’t able to try their food. The worst part of the experience is I wasn’t ever greeted. Not one word spoken to me. I was unsure if there was a waiting list because I couldn’t get anyone to stop and acknowledge me. I was in the restaurant for approximately 4 minutes and had multiple employees walk past me without as much as a hello! Mind you, this is a very small establishment with maybe 8 tables and 6-8 bar stools. Unfortunately, this will be my last time frequenting this...

I haven't been here in quite some time. I was expecting to see the pastry display and was a little bummed there wasn't one. Would love to see some baked goods come back! The place was hoppin at breakfast time and it was nice to see all of the additional seating available for dining in. The display case had some good dinner options to take home and reheat. I took my biscuits and gravy to go (decent gravy, great biscuits). Ordered a coffee to go as well but left without it so I didn't have to...
