My family has been eating at YinHai for many years now and we appreciate both the food and the service. The family that runs the restaurant are lovely people who will really take the time to go over the menu with you and offer a warm and friendly experience. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, despite recent price increases, most likely due to grocery store price increases, I think it is very much worth it. We have a big family and always order quite a lot of food. No matter what we've gotten off the menu it always tastes delicious. I have small children and all of them also enjoy getting food from YinHai, even my pickiest eater. The general tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoons are some favorites of my children. The shrimp and lobster sauce and the shrimp and garlic sauce are also delicious. We always look forward to changing up our order and trying new things. The egg foo young was my favorite growing up and it is still a favorite for when I'm feeling nostalgic. We moved away a few years ago and we were deeply saddened when the restaurant was closed for a couple of years. It brought us a lot of joy to see them reopen and we have come back several times just for their food and to support their small business. If you take anything from my review, please support a small ma and Pa's business and give this restaurant a try. They're wonderful people and make delicious food. If there's anything on the menu you're unsure about you can always ask them about it. I'm sure you will find a...
Read moreTerrible experience, we had a party of 9 and the owner/waitress literally walked up to a couple and told them they had to move because we needed their table when there was other tables we could have put together. Then they forgot our drinks even though we kept asking for them, we finally received them towards the end of our meal. One of us ordered the Hawaii Five-O flaming meal, The waitress lit it on fire it went out so she got another match and started sticking it into the food to light the fluid she had poured over the food. The female bathroom door didn't lock so men walked in on women going to the bathroom, the food was horrible, the service was horrible, will never go back. We use to like this place but never again terrible terrible terrible service and food, it was...
Read moreI wrestled with myself before writing this review and I don’t take it lightly. I ordered crab rangoons and a Szechuan shrimp. They asked if I wanted mild medium or hot. I said ‘hot’. The rangoons were the best I’ve ever had, they were more like Hot Pockets - they were huge! I felt guilty for eating that much cream cheese but I did anyway. As for the entree: What I got was closer to a soup and it had zero spice at all. None. I had a quart container that was at least 50% liquid. Thin, watery, flavorless liquid. Besides the shrimp, I had a lot of celery a few pieces of carrot. That’s it. Celery soup. I would have thought they just gave me the wrong order if the shrimp wasn’t in there to identify it. Would...
