Subway — Restaurant in Marshalltown

We walked in and the place was dead. Even so, the lady who was serving my boyfriend and I was really pushy. She didnt give me much of a chance to decide what i wanted and it was a stressful and overwhelming experience for me. I havent been to a subway in years so I wanted a chance to look at the menu. She put very little meat on my boyfriends sub but a decent amount on mine. The gentleman who put the veggies on out subs seemed unkempt and was wearing his mask under his nose which is concerning considering the times. He was kind though and helped us finish our subs and checked us out fast. The veggies looked old. The tomatoes were yellowed and dry, the spinach was shriveled, and the cucumbers tasted chemically. We waited till we got home to eat our subs and they didnt have much flavor. Nothing was even on the subs. Only half of mine had spinach and the other without. My sandwhich was soacked in sauce when asked for light sauce. And my boyfriend had just an excessive amount of onions on his. The bread was chewy and flat. Over all the whole sandwiche looked unappetizing. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt because I have worked in food service and know it can be stressful and tiring but I was pretty disappointed by it and looking at other reviews it seems many has had the same experience. Other than the sub area the rest of the place seemed clean and well kept. I hope they try to improve the qualitiely of their food and them...

I decided to go to subway today and as I'm writing this am currently there. My sister and I walked in and had an employee tell us that the toasters were down just so we know. In which case we said fine we will just have it microwaved. My sister ordered a footling oven roasted chicken with bacon and her chicken was still cold. I got a footlong meatball. I specifically asked the employee if the meatballs were already hot because she put them directly on my sub. We got to the table and as we are sitting here everyone is being asked if they want it toasted. We both usually get our meat/sub toasted. We ate them because we are hungry but my sister is pregnant and is not supposed to eat cold chicken per her doctors orders. I will probably not come back just because this isn't the first time that my order has...

I would leave less than none if I get it if I could the lady behind the counter was as rude as can be. There was one person in there ordering I was looking at something and she told me I needed to get back behind. The customer asked her if she had something give me a dirty look and told me no we don’t do that all I wanted was an egg white omelette thing other subways do have it, she rolled her eyes at me said no I said OK then I’m not gonna get anything. She slammed down the bread and said OK I will never go back. I just moved here. I have a subway card with over $500 on it I was going to use it. I go to Subway a lot , yeah I will find another subway. Even if I have to go to Ames, I will never go to that one and her attitude...
