I learned about Chris and Central Time on recommendation from a local jeweler who replaced my watch battery in case that didn't fix my timing issue. It didn't, so I called and set up a time to come get a diagnosis.

Within ten minutes (which probably would have been five if I hadn't kept distracting him with questions about all the beautiful pieces in the display case!) he knew exactly what the problem was and quoted me what I felt was a very reasonable repair cost. He's got possession of the watch and I'll have in back, good-as-new, in a week or so.

Went to this store to simply have a battery replaced on a watch and stumbled in to a nice shop of vintage timepieces. Chris is super friendly and knowledgable. Now I am taking in an anniversary clock to be repaired. "Watchmakers" seem to be in short supply as those I have found seem extremely busy. I mentioned that I thought it would be a good idea to have Chris present at a career day in neighboring high schools.
