Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Martinsburg

We went there tonight and ordered the riblets and the chicken tender specials;while my son ordered the double crunchy shrimp, the classic appetizer combo, 3 chocolate shakes,sodas and deserts- triple chocolate melt, the apple chimi cheesecake and the butter pecan blonde (a special just because i appreciate you night for us) the combo appetizer was good for the 3 of us-nice temperature,flavors-as expensive as a meal though, our waitress Essence was friendly, if a little harried. The main meals,meh, the shrimp just this side of done,fries towards warm,tepid temp. The other meals, the ribs were somewhat tender,fries- cooling,more tepid;ok portion wise, 3 riblet strips,6/7 tenders-they forgot the coleslaw the first time bringing it out on both specials, she had to go back for it ;the tenders were ok-(think much more expensive thenMcDonald's,Wendy's. *insert fast food place but at double/triple price.) The second plates were smaller with more fries than meats, although they were a little warmer. The deserts were pretty to look at, my son and boyfriend enjoyed theirs, mine, the butter pecan blonde though, i have no idea how it tasted too well after the first bite; as it was brought out, as it said "A rich, nutty blondie drizzled with maple Cream cheese sauce, sprinkled with candied pecans and served sizzling with vanilla ice cream. " trust me, sizzling is the operative word here-the spoon with which to eat it was on the serving plate and so hot, it burned my tongue so i cannot taste a thing now, :( The manager apologized when i mentioned it, and comped us a future meal- the main reason i was upset and mentioned it was-well, of course the pain-but there were also some families there with small children and i was worried that it would happen to them too. Will we go back, hmm, not sure-food so so,and price.......probably not,expensive lesson learned. Hopefully others will enjoy it more;but i think i will buy the ingredients and make it at home next time-more servings/meals for the same price for a few days for us and i'll be able to taste things instead of healing for the...

My family and I went out to eat at this establishment on 10/19/17 we ordered our food and drinks. Quite a while later we got our appetizers and they were great no complaint, a another while later (even though it's not busy) we finally get our food and it's all good until I'm sawing into my 8oz steak that it's pretty dry and so I took a bite chewed and chewed because of course it's dry, I had ordered it medium well but that was well over cooked. The waiter came back the table and I told her that my steak was not up to my liking and she offered to put in another request and I said yes please so I wait another 20 mins and she finally brings my new steak and it looks awesome it's juicy but then I cut into the sucker and it's as raw as if it just came from the cow itself and it's bleading all over my plate. I mean at least I took it home and heated it up more and cooked it but I went home hungry and upset I still oayed for my food and we left a 7 dollar too. I will never go back. The waiter knew what she was putting down in front of me. She knew it was not edible the way she brought it out. And our service was horrible after that she hardly came back to our table and refilled our drinks we had to interrupt her to come back to our table in order to get boxes and to pay. I'm disappointed in your establishment, in your employees, and your food. I feel sorry for the future innocent patrons who enter and eat. Me and my family will never dine at another Applebees solely based upon our last visit. I will make sure to tell anyone who asks me about this place that my last visit was a disaster. I work hard to make money and provide for my family. For us to choose to go out to eat is a rare treat. Like I said I'm disappointed, I'm upset, and outraged at the level of disrespect that I experienced. We spent 70 dollars on food. I could have went somewhere way nicer.. never again...

Wasn’t even busy at all and we watched a table get sat and never get greeted after 10 minutes and left. My food came out wrong i order and steak with mashed potatoes and fries and it came with broccoli. I told the waiter i was supposed to have fries and he said he’ll go get them .About 5 to 10 minutes pass and the host brought me the fries . He never got us refills i had to ask for one and my brothers drink was empty the whole time and he brought me back one but not him. Now it’s about 20 minutes after we got our food and our waiter brings me my fries and i said someone had already brought them . So then i just ask for the check and a box and brings me the check and no box and then i notice he charged me a basket of fries .. (they were supposed to come with me meal) i was going to tell him but he never came back to the table to even check us out . So i went and got a manger and as im explaining my frustration the table gets up behinds us and and walked out because they sat for 10 minutes not greeted as well. They manger just looked at them in shock and didn’t even say anything to them to try to fix the situation. He didn’t take anything off for us other than the fries that i shouldnt been charged. He just checked us out . Not good service at all and poor...
