My wife and I had lunch here today, we had high expectations since this was the grand opening week for the restaurant.
We each chose the same item fajitas and we picked steak and shrimp for the meats so we paid $2 extra.
We were seated promptly and the waitress came and took our order and we asked for water to drink and I had a coupon for free chips and salsa.
After some time had passed we started wondering how long we had been sitting since we hadn't gotten any water or the chips yet and it seems like those should come fairly quickly, they came within a minute or so after we started wondering why it had been so long. We didn't time this but my wife had noticed that right after the waitress took our order the table across from us had their food delivered and when the waitress finally brought the water to us the other table was finishing their meal and getting up and leaving.
The salsa was tasty but the chips were very salty and the salt was unevenly distributed every now and then I got a chip that seemed like it had been triple salted.
Our fajitas arrived and we both felt that the vegetable should have been cooked just a little longer. A manager came by while we were eating and asked us about things that we told him about the chips and vegetables and he did offer to either take back our meals and get the vegetables cooked longer or just go and cook us some more vegetables and bring them to him. We decided not to wait for more vegetables or send back our food since we'd already been here a while and we were feeling fairly hungry, and if we had waited for nice hot vegetables the meat would have been cold. At other places where we've had fajitas served on metal skillets they were hot, steaming and sizzling for several minutes, but ours were just warm without any steam or sizzle.
The wraps that came with the fajitas seemed rather small and were fairly tough and hard to bite through. The shrimp were on the small side but there was a good handful of them. I will be posting pictures of our meal.
I got my meal Cadillac style which meant it came with beans and rice. The beans were supposedly black beans but they looked brown to me although they were very tasty. The rice was really not worth eating although I did put a little of it in the wraps when I put in my fajita ingredients. For the extra $1.99 to make the meal Cadillac Style I expected a little more rice.
When the bill came they had charged us for the free chips and after I reminded the waitress I had a coupon she hurried off to get the bill corrected which took a few more minutes.
The total time we spent at the restaurant was a little over an hour which seems rather excessive for lunch especially since much of the time was spent waiting.
My wife and I both agreed that we will not be returning to this Chili's restaurant since the local Mexican Restaurant, Las Trancas, served us much better food last time we visited, And chips came free with the meal instead of an extra charge. ( as luck would have it there was a coupon in the mail today for Las Trancas to get the same amount of food for about half the price we paid...
Read moreWent to chilli's today (2-25-18) to go and pick my To-go order up. I called it shortly after (1:08pm) and I was told that it would be ready in 25-30min. Order was wings patter (25ct) so 30min would have been 1:38pm. I got inside the To-go area at 1:49pm (still 11min past the due time) I went in and sat down and patiently wait. I saw (and he saw me) the bartender on several occasions we looked at each other. Then I saw 3 waitress and 1 waiter (4 total) and one (female) she was carrying food. And not a single employee took the time to acknowledge that I was there. I waited for exactly 8min until finally I left. Before anything I was a server for 5yrs and did fast food for many MANY year and if busy or not you ALWAYS acknowledge the customer, but to make it worst they weren't too busy (not slow but not busy). I left and call to cancel my order to have the the employee (sound and tone) kind of get and attitude and hung up on me without an apology or hey come back or we're sorry...nothing, nada, ZERO just said ok what's the name and proceeded to hang up. Well I have a balance of $15.00 on my gift card so if anyone wants it, hit me up. Because not even with a gift card, free or invited I will not go there. Used to LOVE Applebee's (same restaurants) and it's been over 10yrs that I've been to one for poor service. Chilli's Martinsburg is really easy to acknowledge your customer, I wouldn't have mind if I need it to wait for the food as long someone would have taken 3 seconds to tell me"hi someone will be with you shortly" (that easy) So see if y'all can fix this issue so it don't happen again to someone else and potentially lose another or more customers.... Read moreThank God I pressed the record button before he walked up!!!! Horrible service!!! So i stood at the hostess desk for 20 minutes waiting for some one to seat me. I got here at 1:43, its 12:04 and no one came. I asked for the manager. First off, he came out with an attitude. Any way, he comes out and says the host said i was on my phone. Well first off, NO. I wasnt. I took a call maybe 2 minutes before i asked for the manager. Mind you, EVEN IF I WAS on my phone, there are NO SIGNS that say they don't seat people who are on the phone. And though I was upset, he never apologized. I asked for the corporate number. To which he said "You can google it. It's Brinker International." I asked him If i could borrow his pen to write it down. He SAID NO. I said sir, Im calling the corporate office. He replied: "Do it. My name is RYAN RAYMOND, then spelled his name out like it didn't matter who I called, he was above reproach. So not only am I calling the corporate office, I want to speak to the owner, as I recorded the ENTIRE conversation on my cellphone. I will find someone on Linked In to speak to. I think they should hear it. Crazy thing is, he was so busy trying to be funny he didn't even look down to see I was recording! Thats why I asked twice, "So sir, ur saying I cant use your pen?" Smh.
