Was seated an hour before the restaurant closed, served all of our food minus a forgotten soup. When our party of 4 was served we were brought 1 salad 4 breadsticks and 1 soup of which one was an unlimited soup and salad order. After another employee brought our food our server passed by and my Husband mentioned he didn’t receive his soup. After she brought his soup she didn’t come back for approx 30 mins. We had long been out of drinks, salad, breadsticks and soup by the time she returned. I let her know we needed refills on all and when she returned she said everything was packed up as the kitchen was closing and I could only have more salad and an order of breadsticks. Even the tea was unavailable. I asked if she thought she should have mentioned this beforehand and she responded with “What, that we close at 10?” I responded with no, the fact that the kitchen was closing and none of the food were were paying for would be available. Especially since I sat there with nothing to eat or drink for such a long time without even seeing her. Obviously having been packed up while she was M.I.A. She simply apologized that the food was packed up and then stood there looking at us. No offer for compensation of any kind was made until I requested it, I requested a dessert to go. She then brought out desserts (turned sideways in the bag) and told us to pay on the kiosk and walked away, never having asked if we needed boxes for the leftover food from our children’s orders. My Husband saw her and called out for boxes. He then used the kiosk to pay and it was out of paper so it couldn’t print the receipt. Nobody ever came to change it until we went to the front and called for assistance. I’m not sure why people take positions like this when they do not have enough care and consideration to be kind to their patrons. We had been nothing, but kind and respectful to the entire time and had not been to this location in over a year and were looking forward to a nice meal. I can definitely say that after tonight they will not receive our patronage again. My Husband said he saw the manager several times and he never came over to ask if we needed assistance. This is the worst, most disrespectful service I’ve ever experienced and I was saddened to have such an experience as we rarely go out to eat as a family. The food here is way too mediocre and the food too expensive to also be accompanied by such rude service and expect...
Read moreFrom sitting at the bar while waiting for a table, and the dining area after being seated, our experience at this particular Olive Garden was phenomenal! The wait wasn’t more than 20 minutes on this Saturday night around 7 p.m. The two hostesses were very kind and all smiles. My wife and I proceeded to the bar. After a couple of minutes the bartender assured us that he would take of us. We understood. A young lady came to the counter and politely asked if she could help us. She made an awesome mixed drink for my wife and a poured a cold draft beer for myself. A couple of minutes later we were called for our table. We received the text to proceed to the hostess area for us to be shown to our table. Our server was Donna. She was a true professional. Polite, attentive, and accommodative. Our meal was excellent. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip with Pita Chips. It took longer than expected, yet the server assured us that it would be out as soon as possible. We didn’t mind. It was good, but nothing to cheer about. We were served the salad, bread sticks, and my soup. I forgot what the soup was called, it had the sausage and potatoes in it. Not much is in it, yet the flavor is very good. The salad comes in a big bowl. It was fresh and with the right amount of dressing. The bread sticks are to die for. Be sure to ask for the side of Alfredo Sauce to dip your bread sticks!! OMG! What a great combination! My wife had the Chicken Alfredo and I had the Seafood Alfredo. We were asked if we wanted more Alfredo Sauce to add to our meal, YES PLEASE. Not that it was dry, but just a hint more of it completed our fabulous meal. We ordered the Tiramisu to take with us. There was so much food throughout our dinner there! We live in Austin, Texas and quite frankly, the service and atmosphere here , in my opinion, was far better than an Olive Garden we visited in Austin. The entire staff were outstanding!!! Thank you for our awesome...
Read moreUpdate: After 7 years, we decided to give this Olive Garden another try. While the portions were back to the size that they used to be, everything else is a mess, and the only thing that can be blamed on is poor management. The server seemed nervous and frustrated, the appetizer was forgotten, meals were missed, and while they did give a discount in the end, the 2-hour duration of the meal wasn't worth it. I'll never return.
Original: This location was recently taken over by new management. Upon receiving our order, everyone was curious why our portions were so small. The waitress explained that a new manager had taken over, and was working on reducing food waste. I also heard a shift manager explaining this to another table that asked the same thing.
I'm all about reducing waste, but when we go to restaurants that normally have a sizeable portion, it's disappointing that we now won't have leftovers (which until recently we felt that we were paying for those large portions).
This was not the only issue. Our salad only had dressing and tomatoes in it (only 2). We asked where the croutons, onions, peppers and olives were, and we were told that "it should have been in there" and that "there are only 3 of each put in a large salad". When we asked if we could have more, we were told that they are out of everything else except black olives, which were in the freezer....I was blown away with the non-chalant response (as if that was normal).
Our portions were so small, that we were still hungry upon finishing. They never refilled our salad or breadsticks, and didn't ask if we wanted more (which we did).
We decided to just cut our losses and leave. I really hope that corporate catches wind of what's going on there, because I'll wait a couple months before trying it one more time, but if it's still the same, we won't be back. If it does change, I'll...
