Empire China — Restaurant in Martinsburg

I really like to give places the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, this has to be one of the worst Chinese/Asian restaurants I've had food from. I've been to over 50 in my lifetime in several states, and this is the first time I couldn't eat the food. First, the beef and broccoli is the worst I've ever had. It smelled like urine, which was very concerning. Also, it tasted absolutely atrocious, it tasted like it was rotten. Also, this is the first time I've ever had beef and broccoli where it had bamboo in it. I'm mildly allergic to it, it causes me to get rashes. I just can't understand why is was so awful. The crab rangoon was also not the best either, the wrappers were very big. I fully regret going here, and wish I would've asked for the beef and broccoli to be removed from the bill, but I just wanted to leave. I do not...

My husband ordered takeout inside the store this evening for a family of 5. $60.00 worth of food that was the absolute worst Chinese food we have ever ate in our lives!!!! The lo mein was not authentic Chinese lo mein. The vegetable fried rice with scrambled egg had minimal egg, the veggies weren’t cooked, and the rice was disgusting. The pork spare ribs were supp to be boneless and had bone in with no meat on them. The chicken wings weren’t normal Chinese chicken wings, they were burnt little chicken legs/wings. All in all it was a 0/10 for us. Not to mention every time my husband asked to order more things the lady kept reminding him it would cost more. He had to remind her that just bc he was in work clothes, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have money!!!! Very disturbing...

Blows my mind how many positive reviews ive read. Im big on my food.i spend good $ and tip big. I understand its no buffett yet the lg definitely look like a small. Their was more broccoli than anything. The sweet and sour chicken was overly cooked with barely any meat left inside. Ive never had chinese take out this bad, and ive had a few bad experiences. An upgrade on the lgs containers ( simple rectangle like everyother place ive ever been to) would make a worlds difference. And be more mindful on cooking the chicken. Its not that hard.
