Decent food, horrible service. After finishing my meal I waited for my waitress to come to my table to take the dirty plates and so I could order dessert. After 10 minutes I noticed she was still just standing with her phone in hand. Therefore I stood up and told her I'd like to order dessert. She delivered dessert but still didn't take the dirty plates away. After finishing dessert she still wouldn't come to my table to ask if we needed anything which began to irritate since things such as service should be expected and not requested. To pay for the meal I had to raise my hand and call for her attention because of her lack of attention given. The meal was $30 and I decided not to tip. She came back and said I forgot to tip but I said I choose not to. She claimed it was mandatory to tip but I still said no. "It's ok if you don't want to tip, next time you come we don't give service", she said. I followed her comment with an 'ok' and she responded with "I have many customers but no one like you". I'm sorry I wasn't satisfied with your lack of service but I do not want to provide a tip to a lazy waitress that spends her time on her phone and not on actually providing customers with...

I came with my friends for dinner on Mother's Day after we were told at another suishi restaurant to expect at least 2 hours' waiting time during COVID period in 2021. Glad that we made this place as our backup plan. The waitress for our table was very friendly, helpful and patient when we took time to decide what to order as one of us was a vegan. The food arrived fast and in a good portion. Two of us ordered the dine-in deal for $22 each person. I had Spider roll, Rock n Roll, 4 suishi, and one pot sticker as appetizer. Gosh, my friend and I ended up bringing home our leftover for lunch tomorrow (I could not finish my 8-piece Crazy Spicy roll and Rock n Roll)! My another friend ordered separately two suishi rolls (STL rolls and Californian roll) instead and was also satisfied with her choice. I noticed the two chefs were working hard but would still greet the customers on their way out and that said something. We all agreed that we'd back to this place again. Second visit in 2022: Prices have gone up for special combo deal a year later and the sushi sizes on my plate were obvious smaller and shorter ... Is sushi rice getting...

Place is a dump. I’ve been a long time customer of the one in Arnold and this was completely opposite. It must be completely different owners. The minute I walked in I was not impressed. Looked empty like no one was there and I don’t wonder why. Their booths have a cover on the seats looks like I’m sitting on someone’s dirty blanket. Took forever to get a server then took forever for soup ans salad. The salad I got was on a tiny plate that you could maybe fit a small tea cup on and it had five pieces of lettuce on it with a warm creamy ginger sauce that was not the normal dressing they have in Arnold. The soup bowl was as small as a a sauce bowl. You could tell they were being super chintzy. If your going to try to save money as a restaurant you never make it obvious like that. The whole time I was there I just wanted to leave. I finally escaped after the soup and salad were served. I told the waitress I’m sorry but I can’t eat there and left. I was not about to spend my money on a...

My wife was craving for shrimp tempura so we decided to come to this restaurant since they had shrimp tempura for appetizer and meal. There were plenty of parking around this restaurant. The place was busy during Sunday lunch time. Staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was a little dated. The restaurant was clean. I decided not to get all you can eat sushi for $20. I ordered a hibachi chicken dinner bento box with soft shell crab tempura and my wife ordered a tempura shrimp meal. We both had miso soup and salad. Rice was included in our meal. She had 5 tempura shrimps but all of them were small in size. My hibachi chicken was dry and bland. My California roll was salty. Fortunately soft-shell crab tasted really good.

I've been to the Sushi AI in Central West End many times, but I wanted to try a different location, so I came here. It's a nice cozy restaurant, nothing too fancy. Food was prepared very quickly. Service was OK. My waitress seemed a bit awkward but that's alright. I typically went before during lunch, and the lunch menu is 14.99. This time I went during dinner, which was 23.99. They say there are different items on the dinner menu, and that's why it's more expensive, but I really couldn't tell the difference. I think I'll stick to going at lunch. The rolls were all excellent. I ate a total of 45 rolls, so I am very stuffed right now as I write this. Overall, I'm satisfied after this meal.
