🚨 Alert: New Thai restaurant in St. Louis County! Thai Mama opened a couple of weeks ago in Maryland Heights, so I wanted to visit and try it out! It's from the same owners of Thai Kitchen which has multiple locations around the STL area. The menu is HUGE with a variety of dishes, from fried rice different types of noodles to meat-forward dishes like the Shaking Beef. I tried: 🖤 Pad See Yu - wide noodles & served with a variety of vegetables and a protein (i chose chicken). It was yummy & I would order again! Thanks @foodie_friend_dee for recommending your fav dish at Thai food restaurants. 🖤 St. Louis Classic fried rice - this one had all types of meat in it from chicken to shrimp to beef. It was a hit! 🖤 Crab Rangoon - served fresh! 🖤 Mango Sticky Rice - a warm, sweet dish with a little bit of crunch. This was my friend Dee's dish but I had to steal a bite. Go show them some love in their first month! 📍Thai Mama, 1932 McKelvey Rd, Maryland Heights, MO 63043 #stlfood #stlfoodies #stlrestaurants

This is my family’s newest restaurant and I couldn’t be more proud. Our family has been in the restaurant business for almost 30 years, so our recipes are tried and true! I highly recommend the app sampler as an appetizer (crispy egg rolls, crab rangoon, cheese rolls, and curry potstickers) for a variety of appetizers to try. Also, highly recommend the Nam Tok beef for a flavorful and autheintic appetizer. Be sure to get the Nam Tok with sticky rice!! We have amazing big noodle bowls, two of my favorites are the Tom Yum Noodle soup, which has a spicy and sour rich broth, or the Kao Soi, which is a curry based noodle soup. Both are incredible and bring a lot of comfort. The noodle and rice options are awesome too. The Thai fried rice is extremely popular, but for something more adventurous, be sure to venture out and try the pineapple fried rice. The combination of raisins, pineapple, and cashews make the dish both sweet and savory at the same time. Noodle wise, the Pad Thai is easily the most popular entree at Thai Kitchen/Thai Mama, you can never go wrong with our Pad Thai. Additionally, Pad See Ew is a great alternative if you are looking for thicker flat noodles with a sweeter sauce. For stir fried dishes, a personal favorite, is the Spicy Basil (I get it with ground beef), and the Thai Kitchen/Thai Mama Chicken. You can get it with fried rice, white rice, or brown rice. The Thai Mama Chicken is a crunchy chicken in a sweet and sour sauce served with steamed broccoli and your choice of rice. We have a delicious mango and sticky rice dessert (when in season). The mango and sweet sticky rice is a personal favorite. The sweetness of the mango balances out the coconut sticky rice perfectly. Additionally, we have roti with condensed milk, fried bananas with honey, and Thai custard with sweet sticky rice! Drink wise, Thai tea and Thai coffee will satisfy your sweet tooth! Another tip - all of our dishes are made fresh, so you can choose your spicy level, 1-5 stars, with 5 being the spiciest. If you are vegetarian, we can certainly accommodate. We are also family friendly with high chairs, booster seats, and a changing table. We also have a kids menu including kids fried rice, stir fried noodle, chicken noodle soup, and chicken nuggets and rice. We are excited to bring our family’s Thai food to Maryland Heights area, be sure to reach out to any of our staff if you have questions.

I am from Springfield, MO, and was up in St. Louis for a few medical appointments at the Mercy Campus nearby. I was looking for some comfort food after a long day and decided on Pad Kee Mao. After searching for nearby Thai restaurants, I settled on Thai Mama. The restaurant is comfortable and clean with a pleasant atmosphere. There is a large, well stocked bar if you prefer bar seating. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a Thai Tea and Pad Kee Mao (listed on the menu as Spicy Noodle) with chicken at a medium spice level. The Thai Tea was well prepared and paired well with my meal. The Spicy Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) was fresh and flavorful, hitting all the right profiles one expects from the dish. Their spice levels are on a "Thai spice" spectrum which I appreciated, so order accordingly. With the quality of the food I was served and looking at the photos of other reviewers, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order at Thai Mama. Solid recommend.

I placed an online order to pick up at 7:30. Confirmation was received and stated my order would be ready at that time. I received a text at 7:05 saying it was ready to pick up. I called and asked if there was a mix-up and if they could refire it to have it ready at the time I'd requested otherwise it would be sitting there for 25 minutes getting cold. They apologized and said no problem, if would be recooked. I got there at 7:28 to pick up. The food was luke-warm at best. The flavor of the sauce on my chicken was amazing, however what should have been a nice crispy fried meal had congealed together and was soggy. The crab Rangoon were the same way. My wife's meal was at least a sauteed chicken meal so it held up fairly well. I just wish they had followed through on cooking fresh food for us or at the very least followed the order time the first time they cooked it since I reached out as soon as their text was sent to give them the opportunity to...
