Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Maryland

this isn't a problem about the food, it's a problem about the service. I'm not sure who answered the phone after the 3rd time I called yesterday to place an order but if i'm not mistaken, it was the owner because i've been there many many times in which he's always there taking my order or answering the phone, AFTER putting me on hold, the whole conversation he was rushing me being very sarcastically rude tellling me "hello hello" "can you order hello , I have tables" when it was his phone that wasn't working while I was talking and then I really got angry because after i ordered I asked him politely for "a side of well done scrapple" and he says to me "a side of scrapple" and I had just said "yeah well done please" and he goes "oh i'll be sure to burn that real good for you!" like who says that to their customers??? I was just so shocked because in the past, normally he's rude....but just not that rude! Like sorry you had a bad day buddy but I just don't understand why you feel so entitled to be so nasty and just mean to your customers, the phone call I had with the man was very just disturbing the way he was talking to me. Maybe you guys should work on not getting an attitude with you customers and try being nice for once, after all we do pay you???? NOT anymore though I will NEVER be going to the breakfast cafe again. and the foods not even the best so I wouldn't recommend going there anyways. by the way, I never write reviews good or bad reviews on companies pages but I couldn't let this one go for some reason....

I'm not sure how this place got any 5 star reviews, unless it's from all the locals in the trailer park behind the restaurant. I hate to give bad reviews. I feel like little effort was made to create any pleasant experience here. We were greeted by I'm assuming the owner/manager whom I'm sure is a nice person, but covered in sweat. While there were 3 younger girls,one in pajama pants, just standing there. It was very hot inside. The air must not have been working. I wanted to leave but I hate beening rude. We stayed. The floor was very dirty with food and dusty dirty decor was all over the walls. We sat a a table by the window which had a decorative wooden window with a wreath that was so low to the table it was almost in the way. The food was edible but just tossed on the plate. I'm just not sure how this place has passed inspection! Sorry for the bad review, but I'm sure with a little refresh of your place you'll get better reviews. We paid 25 for 2 of us which actually seemed reasonable for a shore town...

We were looking for a restaurant on the way home from Ocean City. All that served breakfast had long lines. Looking online I saw a restaurant that had 4.5 stars from 110 people. Those are good statistics!

Leaving OC is a small restaurant on route 50. It’s on the east side but not hard to do a U turn.

We entered a very small restaurant and stood by the door. The server said a table was finishing and we’ll be next. I couldn’t believe it but yes, we had about a 4 minute wait.

Our waitress, Jessica, sat us and returned promptly to take our order. Coffee came quickly and our order within 15 minutes. My husband had an omelet stuffed with ham and cheese. I had 2 giant pancakes and bacon.

This was the best bacon I’ve had from a restaurant in a LOOOOONG time. Only my bacon is as good! :-)

Check was reasonable for our meal. We tipped Jessica extra because she refilled our coffee and paid attention to us the whole meal. If you’ve ever dined with an inattentive sever you’ll understand how...
