OC Chopsticks Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Maryland

Ridiculous. As soon as we sat down I could see some grease on the table as well as some residue from food, maybe from the previous customers. Our server (a lady who looks like she didn’t want to be there) walks over and asks us what we wanted to drink. I told her we would like ice waters and also asked to wipe down the table. She rudely walks away with no confirmation and comes back with our waters and precedes to wipe down our table. I ask her once more to wipe down the other side of the table as well because my family and I were sitting at two tables combined. The look on her face was appalling as she walked over to the other side to wipe it down. I could see she missed the sides so I ask her for the last time if she could wipe it down (remind you she is currently finishing up wiping the table). She stopped midway and literally stood straight up with hands at her sides and sighed loud and clear. I then asked her if she wanted me (a customer) to wipe the table down myself. She rolled her eyes as an answer and that’s when we decided to leave. My family and I were visiting Ocean City for the week. I initially found this place on Door Dash. I ordered food for myself via DoorDash initially. I thought it was really good, and convinced 2 of my family members to try some. I had the Chicken Pad Thai, and General Tso Chicken. Both family members would typically not eat spice or be adventurous and try new foods. They both thought the food was good!

Imagine my surprise when 2 days later one of the extremely picky, non adventurous food eaters, suggested we go get take out from the “Asian Place” for dinner. There were 7 of us, so we got a variety of dishes. EVERYTHING was delicious. Everyone loved the food! So much so to my surprise, as we were getting ready to head home, 6 of 7 people voted to dine in for lunch at you guessed it, the “Asian Place”.

We are from the DC area, and wish we had an Asian Bistro, with food as good as Chopsticks! Collectively everyone loved the crab wontons, shrimp spring rolls, General Tso Chicken, and Lo Mein. I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and Hunan Chicken as well. Food was good via DoorDash, take out and dine in! That’s rare these days to find.

The food generally tasted good. However, the dish I had was a Gourmet dish containing 1/2 lobster, scallops, Shrimp, Beef with vegetables. The lobster shell approximately 6 inches in lenght, was empty. The curled up lobster meat was in a ball, had a weird taste and very tough in texture. I suspect the lobster tail does not contain the lobster on the plate. A review of the tail may indicate they reuse the hard shell tail. Service was so bad. I came in alone, seated at a table of 6 closest to the front door and suspected I was placed their because the owner would tend to me rather than the waitresses due to the lack of a good tip from just a party if one. I had to go to the front desk to ask I be rung up, only to be met by 6 pickup food service providers all waiting for sometime to be issued their customers order.
