The food was good the service was absolutely horrible. I ordered the 15oz rib eye medium well and my lady orders well done. Hers came out extra well done and mine came out medium, however it was no reason to send it back so we ate it and it wasn’t bad. Food is worth it. However for the service, Jacob, or I think that’s your name because that’s what it said on my receipt. My brother, you need to learn how to deal with people. There is no reason why my table should be forgotten yet I see you go to the table next to me often. There is no reason why I ask for something, I see you go to this other table twice and I have to remind you again that I asked you for something. And there is absolutely no reason for you to act super nice when you bring the check in hope that you will get a good tip. I gave you the standard tip pal but your lucky you even got that. I understand you have other tables to tend to, I get how rough this job could be, but you cannot treat one table better than the others. It took you a while to come take our order. That was the only time you showed up until I stopped you to ask for something and you forgot me. I stopped you again and I haven’t seen you after until you dropped off the check. Word of advice, ask the customer if they would like dessert without holding their check in your hand because it only shows the customer that you are making assumptions about them. My lady and I were ready to order the ice cream brownie fudge thing you guys had but when we seen you holding our check practically reaching over to hand it to us we decided that YOU made up your mind it’s time for us to go. The check should be given when the customer says please give me the check or no thank you I wouldn’t want dessert. I’ve smiled at you since I walked in, spoke to you with respect, did not mistreat you in anyway. If I did any of these things I would understand why you would act the way you did. Read moreMy family has been coming to this Outback steakhouse in Ocean City, MD from the day it first opened its doors! The customer service experience that my family had this weekend Friday,(Feb 23, 2024) was exceptional and beyond expectations primarily due to one of your employees: NICK.
The person in the host position the night our family arrived was"NICK". Again, we have been dining at this particular outback since the doors opened many years ago and we have never had this level of exceptional customer service that compares to NICK'S level of Customer Service experience in ANY PREVIOUS VISIT. And, our family dines at your restaurant frequently.
Our family has many years of professional Customer Service management so we know "a keeper" when we see it!
The level of exceptional caring and professionalism NICK provides this Outback Steakhouse should be noted.
His level (ability) of professional hospitality is natural and as a manager in Customer Service Experience we know that a company can send their employees to "Charm School " in order to perform but as soon as the heat is on, their baseline personality (how they're wired) comes through. NICK is a natural. His level of caring and professionalism is authentic and natural.
And, customers RECOGNIZE the difference as soon as they enter your restaurant!
Our family asked to speak with the general manager just before leaving the restaurant and they asked us to also give our online review of our hosting and customer service experience with NICK.
Bottom line, in all the years since this store opened and given our 30 years of experience and management of Customer Service, we have NEVER seen anything like it!

Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever. Started off great, server was very friendly. But then I never saw her again until the check came. In the meantime, the expeditor delivered the food, was very friendly and helpful. Actually went and got us more condiments since we hadn't seen our server for a while. Our drinks did go empty about 20 minutes before we were done with our meal. When the server came back it was a little too late. The food was not great, and we actually had one item taken off of our check. I wish that I could have tipped the expediter instead of the server. The next day, we decided to go for lunch thinking maybe we would have a better experience. We truly love Outback and that was the only reason why. And who would think that you would have a second bad experience. But we did! Once again, the server took our order and we never saw him again until a good 15 minutes after our food had been brought to the table and was wrong. You let him know that the steak was supposed to have a sauce with it and he said oh I forgot is it okay the way it is? No it was not okay, and now it was cold. Again, they removed it from the check but we were still left with half cold food. After the second bad experience it seems like this is just how they do things there, you see your server when they take your order and when they bring the check. Never experienced this at another outback. Highly not recommended...
