Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

Chipotle Restaurant Review:

I had gone to Chipotle Mexican Grill on Monday January 30th, 2023, in Dunkirk Maryland. Chipotle is one of my most favorite places to eat I must say. The food is always great and on point. The service by the wait staff is always kind and helpful and listens to customer requests.

When I arrived, I walked in and noticed a line of about 7 people, so I stood at the back and waited my turn. While the restaurant is on the smaller side, few people ever sit and eat inside. The line took about 5ish minutes before it was my turn. They always have 3-5 people at the counter, so the line is moving quickly. They also have around 4 people always cooking the meat, so everything is very fresh. They also have people switching out the food items and bagging items such as chips and mobile orders for customers who ordered online to be able to just walk in and pick it up. Lastly, they have someone at the register, so people do not have to wait to pay.

They do not have an exceptionally large variety of food items. They have bowls, salads, quesadillas, and burritos. When I ordered I had gotten a bowl. They give you the option between white and brown rice. I asked for EXTRA white rice which they gave me without question. Then I asked for extra black beans which they had supplied me with instead of pinto beans. Next, this is when you select your choice of meat. They have a wide variety of meat. They also have vegan alternatives if that is what you wish to choose. My favorite is the seasonal Carne Asada or the new Garlic Guajillo Steak. I chose the Garlic Guajillo Steak which was flavorful and juicy while having great seasoning and being cut so well it almost dissolved in my mouth from how tender it was. I had chosen no salsas and no corn because I am not a fan of having onions and there are chopped onions in the corn mixture. I chose their Romaine lettuce, shredded cheese, and sour cream.

All the ingredients were very fresh and still hot off the grill. They had loaded my bowl as full as they could due to my request. I had paid the same regular price for a Garlic Guajillo Steak as everyone else ($11.20) even though I had asked for extra on all my toppings other than steak. While the Garlic Guajillo Steak is the most expensive item it is well worth the cost. The other meat choices cost around 10.20 due to the size and seasoning of the new steak. One thing they should do is add a little bit more meat per bowl. It is my favorite part and so delicious so I wish they would have added more to it without having to ask for double meat (which is more expensive and good for business).

I have been to many different Chipotle restaurants, and they all withhold the same quickness, freshness, and quality of food and service. On the other hand, I do believe that Chipotle could and should have a drive through. They are an establishment that would benefit because they always have a lengthy line inside. They are always quick and efficient but ever since they opened in 1993, in Denver CO they have stayed pretty much the same, the building design and food never really changed. They have always had a smaller inside as well. In this situation the saying “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” would definitely apply.

I would give chipotle 5 stars. They have quick and nice service. They always have fresh and delicious food. They have a decent variety of items, while they could have more, it is a good amount. The building is clean all the time and at every location. They have many separate locations around the world, so it is also a reliable while also somewhat healthy option wherever you are at. Lastly, I would like to add that they have the best forks out of every fast-food place ever.

If you have not already, then you need to go to Chipotle Mexican Grill and get yourself a bowl or burrito or whatever floats your boat. My whole family loves chipotle and I am sure yours will too. This location as well as others that I have been to also has a good amount of parking and great wheelchair accessibility so everyone is able...

When this Chipotle first opened, they were like the other area Chipotles, as they should be where food is concerned. After the first month, they began giving sub par serving amounts, that are not consistent with corporate compliance. One half of a full spoon full is twice below the specified amount that is supposed to be served, yet they charge double for anything more. Their rice has no cilantro or lime juice, making it out of compliance as well. I'm not sure what happened that those in charge decided to stop serving correct amounts, or making the food correctly, but it has been noted to corporate offices. Other area Chipotle locations have even heard of what is going on at the Dunkirk location. I would be appalled if this was my store, and quite frankly concerned about maintaining business with all of the other "fast food" restaurants opening in the next few months. This is the only Chipotle you can go to and not find a line, and that should say everything it needs to! Beware of the meats as well, as they do not properly cut the meats and you will find large pieces of gristle in the steak, as well as large chunks of fat in the barbacoa. Such a shame, they should be booming...

It really all depends on who makes the food. Lately, it has been giving me indigestion for some reason. I think it was because the meat was a bit greasy. Also, the guacamole has had huge chunks of avocado in it instead of it being a smoother consistency like it used to be. And sometimes the rice isn't cooked all the way, so you're basically eating partially crunchy rice. But like I said, it all depends on who's doing the cooking. The portions are always good, though.

Update: So my hubby picked up a burrito and some chips and guac for me last night and the guac was absolutely horrible!!! It was mostly big chunks of crunchy, unripe avocado, which is disgusting!! It's been this way for the past 4 times I ordered from them. How do you just tell yourself that people aren't going to notice or mind that the majority of the avocado isn't ripe?? I'd rather them just not serve guac til the avocados are ripe enough to use. I would love to get my money back, but I doubt that will happen. Not sure if I'm gonna give them another try. Just seriously...
