Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Maryland

So we needed a cake done for my two-year-old‘s birthday party we had been trying to get an ice cream cake with a picture of my daughters face on it for days from different grocery stores bakeries and none of them could meet the deadline of the day of her birthday so we called cold stone in Dunkirk and ask them if they would be able to do it for us and they said just email us the picture. So that was the same day of my daughters birthday party I had no expectation for the cake to be done that same day I was just planning on going and buying a cake from them but to my surprise not only did they have it done but ready and waiting for me in the freezer which means they had already done it right after I sent them the picture same day as busy as they get I don’t know the names of the young lady and the man that were working that day but I just spoke to the gentleman today and told him once again how grateful I am that they saved him a complete meltdown from my daughters mother thinking that we weren’t going to have the ice cream cake that we wanted so badly for our daughter thank you to the young lady and the young man that made that happen. 2/7/22 UPDATE: Got a call from Abby (owner? Manager?) asking to correct the mistake. So, I went back yesterday, as it just so happens I was going to be in that area again. Jingo remade my entire order, EXACTLY how I wanted it. It was great cause I later found out what I also ordered for my sister for her birthday wasn’t correct either. So she also got what she actually wanted this time. This is the second time I’ve had the opportunity for this cold atone to remake a order that wasn’t right. I hate the hassle of going back cause I don’t go that often. But they never hesitate to correct their mistakes. I would go back but only for in-person order. 1/31/22 review: If I pay for ingredients I'd like to see and taste the ingredients. Once again, ordered a Founder's Favorite and there was no brownie. If I order a quart, I can't see through the whole thing and won't know until I dig in that there is no brownie but only brownie crumbs. Probably won't go back to that location. But I definitely won't order in...

This was my first experience at Cold Stone and it will also be my last. I came in with my family after a school event to celebrate my oldest. The first employee greeted us with a hello and I will be with you in just a moment. Unfortunately, she was not the employee who “helped us.” When my first child asked for his order on a sugar cone her response was “that won’t fit on a sugar cone!” I said oh okay we will take one of the other cones. Pointing to the cups she said what size, I clarified again he wanted a cone to which she said “you still have to pick a size!” She continued to be put out that she had to do her job. When my husband went back in for napkins she rolled her eyes. It is unfortunate that she didn’t have a name tag on so that I could report exactly who she was.
