I visited the Chipotle located at 557 Ritchie way, Severna Park MD 21146 and while I was being checked out I witnessed a employee in a manger shirt change the corn on the line without any gloves on. I immediately asked the cashier what that managers name was, and he responded, "we don't give out names, that's our store policy" I asked "you don't give out the names of managers?" and he said no. I said okay, what's his position? Is he the general manager, the service manager, kitchen manager? and he responded, "yea we don't give those out either". I said you wonât even tell me his title and he said no. I then asked to speak to the gentleman myself then and he said fine, went and whispered something in his ear before coming back over. The gentleman walked up and asked me what the problem was, I asked him what his name was, and he said "I mean is there something wrong? Did I do something? Can I help you with the problem?". I responded that he personally couldn't help me, but I would like to know his name. He said his name was Jimmy, I asked what his title was and once again he asked me what was wrong. I stated, "I saw you change the corn on the line without having any gloves on and your finger was in the pan". He said, "I'm sorry it was a mistake, its not like my hands are dirty, but feel free to complain". I said "oh, feel free to complain?" and he stated, "I mean yes, it was a mistake". I then asked him since when was it store policy to not give out a mangers name or even their title? and he said "I don't know I'm new here". After that I took a card for the general manager (who's name on the card is Miguel S.) and left. I have an issue with how unsanitary it was for him to change that pan and his thumb specifically to be in the pan with no gloves on. To take a stance of "it was just a mistake" when we are in the middle of a pandemic, that's not proper food safety anyway and to not know store policy as a manager and leader because he's "new" even though I've seen him previously at the store is unsatisfactory. I further have an issue with the cashierâs lack of customer service and refusal to provide ANY information, the name on my receipt is "Carter"; so I believe that is the cashiers name. I completely understand not providing the name of a crew member, a mangers full name, or a managerâs personal phone number but I've never been to a Chipotle where you canât know a mangers name. How else are we supposed to report issues? That was my latest experience at this store, I entered approximately 5:47pm and was checked out 5:52, if anyone wants to pull the footage and see for...
Read moreI'm a long-time Chipotle lover and have invested in the company in the past. I've eaten at around 10 of their restaurants, sometimes going there like every other day for lunch. I bought a house in SP recently and a Chipotle being within walking distance was a plus, but I'm not impressed so far. Each time I've been in there it seems like it's brand new people with no training working the line. Once I asked for corn tortilla tacos and it held the line up for several minutes because the girl taking my order literally didn't know they had different kinds of tortillas. maybe even didn't know different kinds of tortillas existed? She seemed that confused. We placed an order online and my wife walked up the counter to pick it up, like you're supposed to. The reasonable thing to do would be to treat her as the next person in line -since her food is already made- and ring her up after the current person. Instead, the cashier rang up three people before asking my wife her name and getting our order from the warmer. Are people who order online second class customers? While eating the burrito I got that day, I noticed it seemed about 1/4 smaller than the average chipotle burrito. Maybe even 1/3 smaller than one from the Hanover location. I could have overlooked that, but why was my burrito half salsa and cheese and half chicken, rice and beans? That's not even a training issue. It's common sense that people don't want a half vegetarian burrito. We want the ingredients at least relatively distributed within the burrito. I was disappointed. From my perspective, this restaurant suffers from insufficient training and apparently high turnover. That they'd rather save a cent here and there on rice and beans and have fewer customers shows. It usually isn't half as busy as I'd expect for a Chipotle in such a busy shopping center. I'll give it another chance but I'm feeling let down from my favorite fast casual...
Read moreUsed to go here often because I do like the food but the constantly skimpy and inconsistent portions eventually drove me away to other places. Got a gift card and took another shot and the result was the picture attached. Chicken, Rice, Lettuce, Sour Cream, $8 dollars. I understand not giving extra protein, but are we really skimping on lettuce and rice now? I finished this in about 20 seconds and went somewhere else to order more food.
Stinko-de-Mayo update (May 5th, 2021): Going from 3 to 1 star. Put in an online order which was to be ready 30 minutes later at 8:15pm. When I got there it was pandemonium. The pick-up area shelves were completely full, and there were about 20 people standing around waiting for their orders. I waited, and waited.... until about 8:45pm. The workers prioritized the people in line who just arrived, while the pick-up orders waited and waited. Finally, I saw a fella actually get his pick-up order and I stopped him on his way out, I asked him "When did you make your order for?" He replied, "It was supposed to be ready at 8:15pm. And it's 9:00pm now" That meant the pick-up line was over 1 hour behind from order placement. The line was empty at this point and the front doors locked, and the workers could not keep up. Poorly staffed and managed as usual. I couldn't stand it anymore and I asked for my order to be cancelled and made my way over to Cafe Rio instead, where I ordered and left with my food in 5...
