I made an order for a ($32.00 pizza) from Domino's in Burtonsville MD for my wife and I Thursday 10/5/2018 at 11:00 pm which took about 25 to 35 minutes to cook and get to our house. I saw the driver pull up and watched him get out grab pizza bag from the backseat of his car, as he carried our pizza to the door we were in disbelief seeing the driver carrying the pizza-bag under his arm like a book. I opened the box as soon as I was handed the pizza (as expected the pizza had slide down and was messed up) I obviously gave the pizza back to the driver and said something, he apologized saying “that he would be back with a new pizza”. I also called the Burtonsville store back, speaking to Rico. I explained to Rico the situation (trying not to put the blame on the driver) having to be honest I did say “the driver was carrying the pizza like books”. Rico (manager) said “sorry, that he would send driver back to get pizza, replacing with new one”, I again Said “that having seen the way the pizza was carried, is why I opened to look, I again sent the pizza back”. So within 15 minutes my new (well-done) pizza was being redelivered (I was contacted a few minutes in advance by Rico and told “meet the driver in the driveway” the driver slipped on mud, that is why the pizza was destroyed, without thought I of-course said "sure, no problem “I did not however push the fact that there was no mud on the driver or the pizza bag, nor was anything said to me about falling by the driver. Remember, I saw the driver pull in the driveway get out grab the pizza from back seat and walk to the front door, and never saw him fall. It was my watching him carry this pizza under his arm like he would books that I looked at the pizza to begin with! So, now can you imagine the disappointment the discuss when I get this extremely hot pizza with cheese thrown over the broken parts of the pizza that was never remade, they resituated this $30.00 pizza, which I being the person that I am still gave the driver a $2.00 tip after getting what I was told and expected to be a new pizza. This is very concerning to me, if they will resend out a pizza dressed back-up due to a mistake on behave of the driver’s way of carrying the pizza to my door (it was said that this driver was a new driver as well) how could I eat that pizza or feed it to my family? Having cut the pizza myself with my own cutter into 1/2 slices of the big halves and seeing that this was the same pizza that was messed up, I couldn't help but wonder exactly what else would or could they do to this pizza believing that either me as a customer didn't deserve to have a new fresh pizza remade, and that they would play some crazy BS game telling the customer one thing then doing the other. I am posting this so that others will be more cautious of Domino's pizza in Burtonsville MD, making sure that they do their job. I love pizza and always have, being 45 I eat pizza once a month at best where five years ago I would eat pizza once or twice a week, so this pissed me off more than anything now, not to mention after going to Domino's to discuss this with the district manager next week and contacting corp. office I will never feel comfortable ordering from this Domino's again. The sad part to this is I have been ordering pizza from this Domino's well over 16 years, and can't believe that seeing my history on their system that they would play with my food like this, I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with this type of stuff, especially when ordering food for their children and feel personally that Domino's needs to get back to treating every customers their food with the utmost respect and seriousness that is deserved and expected, but we demand! Pizza isn't a simple $8.00 to $12.00 order anymore, these days pizza orders cost at-best $25.00 plus an additional $3.00 charge for delivery (that doesn’t go to the driver) meaning that then one is expected to tip that driver. So when I order a pizza spending $30.00 I shouldn't have to worry about this, personally they should have replaced for free,...
Read moreSo I am a frequent customer of this store and I placed an order only for it to be CANCELLED!??! , CaledC the store to ask why and the young girl that answered said because of a recent incident where a driver was killed in the vicinity of my address of Castle Blvd. , that the do not deliver after 9pm & that the "system" was suppose to automatically deny my order, but she said she was surprised it went through & I explained yes because I am LITERALLY off the corner of Briggs Chaney and the beginning of Castle Blvd. , She said it's a new policy and drivers are scared to drive. I asked her why they couldn't inform customers and she said "how would we do that" ?? Like I know she's yiyou, but SERIOUSLY I mentioned that I receive flyers direct from the store , she said that comes from corporate on behalf of store...OK SO I ask her WHY can the owner of this store not have corporate send out this notice? And HOW is this fair that everyone should get punished for what one person did. This So Unprofessional and not fair to customers like me that have always tipped well and because I sometimes get of late I don't feel like cooking and Dominoes was the only late place open but dam now I'm so pissed that I will not order at anytime from this location. The owner is very irresponsible for not notifying your customers and not everyone has access to a car to carryout ! I'm considering calling corporte office but not sure they will be any help since I know most stores...
Read moreOrdered a couple pizzas and they never arrived. Followed the tracker for the entire process from 7:45pm to 8:34pm and no one ever showed up for contactless delivery (which I have ordered a few times within the last 2 years with no issues). Followed up the first time after a full hour and I was told it would arrive in less than 10 minutes. Waited 15 minutes just in case then followed up again at 9:05pm. Driver claimed it was delivered and claimed to ring the doorbell and got no response. Kind of hard to make these claims when we have a ring camera that was being actively looked at and proves that did not happen and no one stole anything from the porch. Appreciated one of the in store employees trying to assist on the phone but the lies just lost them a customer. I was offered a redelivery/new order but I refused to pay for delivery charges again. You want me to spend more while I’m already hungry, time has been wasted, and for a lie with the same driver? I don’t think so. Who knows where the pizza ended up. Way to ruin an evening especially when other food options are closed. At least I was able to get a refund, hopefully my 20% tip comes back with it. Customer service could have been a little better. They abruptly hung up the phone both times. They were on point for previous orders over the years, what happened? This was a letdown. Beware. Go to Ledo’s or find a...
