Five Guys — Restaurant in Maryland

I wanted to share an awesome experience that I had today at the store at 9210 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD. I came in for a quick to-go order on my lunch break and was met with awesome customer service from Dontae C. While I waited for my food, I had asked if you all had honey mustard, I was informed you did not (which was perfectly okay). I went back to the table I was at while waiting for my meal and took a phone call. Once my order was called, I was informed that the server hand-made me a small ramekin of honey mustard, from scratch!! I was not expecting that at all and just that small, kind gesture made my entire day. I am a nurse and bartend on the side so I know how stressful the restaurant industry can be, especially as a younger kid. This store's employee's were awesome!

I will definitely make it a point to go back just...

Sadly, this place turns out to be hit or miss. We were in a pinch and had such a good experience last time, we thought we'd try again. This time, the staff wasn't very welcoming, the fries were good, but the burger was overdone. The staff were friendly to each other but abrupt with customers. Not rude, just coarse and unfriendly. And the $7 hotdog was very very greasy. We won't be back any time soon.

This Five Guys is an overall great location. Service was fairly quick despite a bit of a crowd. I ordered a regular fry and received a little fry instead which was quite disappointing to say the least. That is the first time I have experienced that at this Five Guys, and I believe that they get the orders correct probably 96-97% of the time. I just happened to be part of the 3-4% that day.
