It is unfortunate to have to give a five guys a 1star review. We have been to several over the course of the country, and have never had worse service than at this location. Unfortunately, the employees were not wearing name tags, but we were there to have dinner on 4/26/2021. Being a local business owner in another state, we understand there can, at times, hiccups. However, after waiting 30minutes for food, I went up to ask if waiting such a long time was normal for this location. (All the while many others were also complaining about waiting such a long time). I was instantly responded to by who I believe was the manager on duty, with disrespect. She rolled her eyes, snatched my receipt, claimed our food was taken by others. However, our number was never called. She rudely told the employee behind her to start making our food. That employee was then distracted by several other duties, and our food sat on the fryer. So, after another 15minutes, I asked for a refund. The manager proceeded to give me the refund, but all the while shaking her head as if we were to blame for our long wait. Unapologetic. Raised her voice at me when I let her know she shorted my refund. And was incredibly rude. Throughout the entire ordeal, there was never an apology. I am an even keeled person, and understand it is unprecedented times, and am willing to wait while having good service. Read moreMy son had a rough football game and asked for Five Guys afterwards, we walk in at 9:20 and order 5 burgers and a medium fry for our whole family (came to $65 which is a separate issue, but I have no problem paying for good food and it was delicious). While we’re sitting there waiting, the cook starts complaining about people that come in “9:15, 9:30, 9:58” (his exact words) and order 7 burgers right before they close at 10. AWKWARD! I wanted to just cancel my order and leave I felt so unwelcome. Luckily my husband didn’t hear because he would have, even though our food was almost finished.
Here’s the deal, I never see many patrons here when I drive by, I would think that these employees would understand that any business in this economy needs all the customers they can get. I don’t see anything wrong with going somewhere 40 minutes before they close and ordering food but I felt a weird vibe from the minute we walked in there and after he said that I finally knew why.
