I had originally booked the hotel accommodation online for three nights. My fourth night was on Choice Privileges rewards as a Platinum member. I called the hotel after making the reservation and spoke with an Adrianna and advised her I was travelling with a dog and required a ground floor room. A day or two later at 1030PM at night I received a call from a William from the hotel. I was a little disturbed someone would call at that time of the night considering his communication was NOT urgent. He advised me that my room was now going to be on the 2nd floor. I advised him I already spoke to Adrianna who confirmed the 1st floor room and he said "you will have to take that up with Adrianna". I was a little appalled by the answer. I then asked why my request is not being met and he said there were others booked in before me. I then said does my membership as a Platinum Choice Privileges no mean anything, William laughted! I've been honoured many upgrades and perks in the past at other Choice hotels. Upon arrival this William was at the front desk. He provided me the checkin slip...it had the wrong dates as I was checking out on the 11th of April. He checked the system and then said no you are checking out on the 10th. I had to tell him about the free night on points. He then told me I would have to checkout and checkin again on the Thursday. Never had this before at any Choice hotel properties using the rewards points. The wireless internet at the property is horrible. I disconnects regularly and is extremely slow. I called to the front desk for the first two days, they advised me to call the 800 support number. The internet provider to the hotel advised me they had to reboot the equipment and advised the hotel to do the same. The internet works much better for about 1 day. At two points I had to go to the lobby to use the wireless internet but could not do my work with all the commotion and noises. Then the problems started happening again on the Thursday. I called the 800 number and they advised me William at the front desk refused to the Internet company to reboot the system hardware as there were no other complaints. I could not do this review at the Comfort Inn on Executive Way in Frederick Maryland since the internet was so horrible. As I write this I am using the wireless at the Comfort Inn in Bradford PA without ANY issue. After the internet company advised me he refused to reboot the equipment, I called the front desk and William answered. I advised him the internet is still having issues and he just fluffed the conversation, he then told me to use the internet at the front, I advised him there were issues there also and the noise did not give me privacy. I then asked him why he refused to reboot the equipment as the Internet Company advised him. He said no need. I then told him I had stayed at the property in the past on numerous occasion and I found this stay to be very disappointing. There was silence for 20 seconds, not a word from William. I then said hello are you there? He replied yes I am here waiting for you. I then said oh I see, thank you very much, and I hung up the phone. The other staff at this property are very good aside what...
Read moreWorst Stay EVER... Runnnnnnnnnnnn! Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the dog of a guest running loose in the parking lot. I was issued room 312 & it smelled of cigarette smoke. Advised front desk & she refused to change my room saying there were none available. I demanded management, so she called a manager whom instructed her to give another room being. The clerk tries to cover up her lie by saying they have rooms on hold that she's taking one to give to me & she didn't want to do that because it's unfair.
The next morning my Uncle advised that "Amanda" (new front desk clerk) stopped him to tell him that our family received complaints about our children being noisy & it's better he tell us to control our children than her. First of all, Comfort Inn advertises kid friendly & family oriented. Second of all, we all arrived & checked in after 7pm, left for a family reunion event & didn't return until around 11pm. The kids took baths & went to bed. So this compliant was based on a crying baby - control my crying 1 yr. old nephew! So I complained to management whom apologized but little miss Amanda continued to be nasty, make teeth sucking noises, roll her eyes, etc...
After returning from my family reunion event, I noticed ants at random. They werent there before but being so tired, we went to bed. The next morning I discovered ants all over the table near the TV. I believe they only came out because my daughter left an open bag of marshmallows on the table. I immediately unpacked everything to ensure they weren't in our belongs, repacked, recorded them, and went to check out. I asked Amanda for a manager & she said "they are at a venue so call the 800 number", she placed the receipt on the counter and turned away. I finally asked her name, she laughed & said Amanda. I left and have called back twice but received NO assistance.
Between the stairwells smelling like dog, the unpleasant and poorly trained staff, and the management inability to control their staff, I'm DONE with Choice Hotels... I have had better treatment staying at a Super 8 motel. The only good about the stay was their breakfast. They have a...
Read moreComfort Inn was initially established as a budget hotel chain in 1957, with origins sprouting up from the Choice Hotels family of brands, initially established in Florida with the establishment of the Quality Motel Courts by seven businessmen in 1939, whose origins in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Administration sprouted up through conspiring thoughts brought up throughout the events of the Great Depression, and in the worst of the years prevalent in the Early 1930s decade in Herbert Hoover's America.
Despite the fact that the staff proved benevolent and the room, in addition to the fixtures proved to be an optimal experience at this hotel, which I only had the opportunity of staying at for a singular nocturnal period to see the Frederick Keys play against the West Virginia Black Bears before heading back to Colorado following 3 days in the District of Columbia (Christopher Columbus), there were numerous issues that hindered my experience, when I first got into Room 320, the room seemed to be decent, but was not fully equipped with a shower curtain that brought up prevalent safety concerns for me and the other individual prevalent in my party, who proceeded to go to the front desk, later transferring us to the much better, and more spacious Room 317, which also came with a Side of a property loss; I had brought Skullcandy Earbuds for this respective venture, expecting to keep them for the entire jaunt, only for them to get lost in Room 320, after housekeeping failed to retrieve the earbuds in addition to the other prevalent individual of my party, who could not find it either. Despite those two elements that would make an individual on-par with W.E.B. DuBois in the Niagara Movement of 1905 irate in the long run, this respective lodging facility was decent, and had modest potential, despite that benevolent comment, there is skepticism I will be staying here again when I am oriented in the area for a...
