Pad Thai is excellent and different style than most other places. They use a thin rice noodle and wok fry the noodle/egg/veg medley before putting on dish, so it has a little charbroil taste. Had mine with shrimp which were good. Ask for the spice rack! Tod Mun app was excellent, four ground shrimp & fish cake balls lightly fried. Very tasty, not the most economic of apps, but it takes more work to make these. Vegetarian wife had the Spring Roll app (surprise, it's fried) but said it had no flavor without the syrup dip which she doesn't eat. Her Basil Kapow was a nice medley of veg and tofu they charbroiled a little too much. Basil sauce was a little weak, not her fav, but she ate half of it.

This is our second time here in the past month and we have enjoyed it both times. My wife loves the Drunken Noodles and the kids and I have gotten sushi. The sushi is very good, but the rolls are a bit smaller than other sushi places we visit (I started eating it before I remembered to take a pic!). Prices are reasonable and we haven't had to wait for a table on either visit. Service was good and the casual atmosphere is good for kids. They are BYOB as well. They automatically apply a "suggested" tip of 20% to the bill, so be mindful to check for this so you don't double tip.

I really DON'T want to write this review because I want to keep this GEM to myself. But I am a good person and have to share. I am STILL thinking about the duck pad thai I had 2 weeks later. It was so good... SO, SO GOOD!! My bestie got the duck pad thai, and I got the duck fried rice. We split the dishes. The duck fried rice made me re-think why had I been ignoring fried rice. Then I tasted the duck pad thai, and I was mad at my momma for not being Thai. Don't yall eat up all of the duck before I can get back to have another round.

Worst experience ever. Always saw this place when I go to coldstone and five guys and wanted to try but for some reason i was always in the area when they weren't open. (I live in the pikeville area) I pictured amazing food and respectable staff, well it was far from that for me. I ordered food at around 7.15, the guy who took my order was not very friendly to begin with, my daughter who was with me had climbed on one of the stools and he thought she should come down, but it wasnt that it was the way he said it...I brushed it off and went ahead with the order, the total had me in awe but I thought now it must be excellent food dont fuss. I asked for something spicy on the side and was told 50 cents ??? Like I just spent $27 on 2 items and you still want me to pay for some hot sauce. I said never mind as he started up with an attitude about it's not his business. When I asked how long the food would be he again with attitude "10-15 mins" I walked out wanting to go right back and tell him cancel the order but i didnt want to cause any ruckus, I went next door for ice cream with my daughters and waited for my food to be done, all the while agitated and thinking how I shouldn't have bought food at Fuji san. Went in at 7.34 and a lady gave me the order, I got 2 mini waters free so I gave her a smile and was thankful for it. I went in the van at that time my girls were very cranky, something all the while telling me check my food but i kept telling myself stop overreacting. I thought about it even in the restaurant but thought it would look so bad. I decided to call the store(was getting on 83 then) and asked how much was my shrimp lomein after realizing how small the containers were and I was told $17 something and my vegetable fried rice was $11 something (it didn't add up to what I paid but it was in the vicinity). I was like Ohhhhk I expected larger containers and hung up. Got home put movie on got plates etc and ready to chow down and discovered no vegetable fried rice..instead the container had thin noodles and vegetables...I called the store..lady on the line tells me yes she made veg fried rice..I am very patient all this while ...her tone and I guess language barrier wasn't helping me from going off...I asked can I email or text you the pic of what I have here in the container, she eventually understood and gave me her cell number. I sent pics, she calls back and said that was pad thai noodles and bring back and she will refund. I explained to her I don't live in the area and it was such an inconvenience for me to come back to the restaurant(was only in the area as I took my daughter to kindergarten in timonium and they wanted icecream after) The lady claimed to be the owner and refused to do anything else except 'follow policy '..I mean she had pics, I told her I could and would take a pic of the food in the garbage if she wanted to prove I wasn't going to eat that wrong order and asked her to issue a refund ...she insisted I bring back the food for refund...even the next day..which of course she was going to throw in garbage anyways... it's unfortunate that my experience was like this, unfortunate that she refused to do anything to accommodate me. She clearly didnt care for me as a customer, didn't care to please me a customer (she said if she did that she would have to do with everyone ???) didn't care for me to return as a customer. Told me she would call the police on me?? Blocked my calls to the restaurant. Called me crazy. So that's my experience. This turned into a rant as they wouldn't let me speak over the phone, kept speaking over me and hanging up phone. I just dumped the food, Food did not look all that either, I didn't taste it as I gave my kids the lomein to eat.I have no intentions of going back to that store, it would cost the same as the food in gas to get up there and return, they can keep that money..hope it gets them somewhere. I'm emotionally exhausted and hungry now. I will however post this review every chance I get wherever...

Great place with great food. Never had an issue until tonight. Came in at 9:30 and was told that the kitchen was closed when they say they're open until 10. However, they still took my carryout order. I got my order with no receipt(they were rushing me out the door and I forgot to ask). I get home, check the food and they mixed up my order. They gave me something else instead of the Thai noodle soup I asked for. I'm taking it back tomorrow. The woon sen soup was blander than usual, and the Pad Mee Lhiang was SUPER salty with a hint of sugar/sweet. I'd like to add I've ordered the Pad Mee Lhiang EVERY time I went in there, and it has NEVER been salty or sweet. I can't remember a single time where it had any hint of sweet in it. I'm guessing the cook got the salt wrong and decided he'd counter it with sugar. I believe if I were there earlier he would've made another, instead of trying to fix it. I'm disappointed with them, specially with it being a Friday night(expect ppl to come in near closing time). I'll probably eat with them again, but come in the evening as I usually do. Conclusion: DON'T come in at night, and always check your order before you drive off. I always do this, but tonight they were rushing me out the door so I didn't do any of this.

This experience has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth(no pun intended), so I won't be coming back in for a while.

Edit: I had to edit this due to the terrible customer service my mom had to experience this afternoon when she came in to take back the order they got wrong. He said he forgot to add the broth, and had it there ready as if she was going to take it. The reason I'm editing this from 3 stars to 1 is because there was NO apology at all for the mistake. If a restaurant makes a mistake, you usually get a "I'm sorry!" at the very least. He tried to argue with her that we came in at 9:45 instead of 9:30, as if that makes a difference. Your restaurant still clearly states that you close at 10PM, not 9:30, not 9:45 but 10PM! They also (last night) took out the trash from the kitchen through the restaurant while a couple was still eating, which I find absolutely disgusting. I have no issue with a restaurant that starts a little cleanup before the restaurant actually closes, but to take out the trash and carry it through the restaurant while still open is unacceptable. I've only experienced this once before and it was in a shady little place in High Wycombe, England. I didn't mention this before because I was trying my best to be kind in my review. Now that they've offered no apology and was rude, I don't give a toss anymore. They were upset that I left this review, though I've stated that I've never had an issue with them and that the food usually was amazing. Still, they were very upset and offered no apology. This isn't how a business should be handled, and not only am I disappointed with them but am now sad. Also, they should be thankful that I didn't consult the Better Business Bureau over them not giving us a receipt. It is illegal to NOT give your customer a receipt. However, I understood that perhaps they've had a long day, were tired and just wanted to go home. It's funny that the customer is having to be the understanding person here, while the business not only refuses to say sorry but also gets upset when a bad(but honest) review is left due to their mistake and rudeness. Hopefully they'll learn from this and do better. That's the point of this review. I'm not trying to tell you to NOT eat there, the food can be quite delicious and everyone CAN be quite friendly. All this is is me telling everyone my experience and to proceed with caution, and perhaps wishful thinking that the owner/cook will do...

Save Your Money and Your Sanity - Avoid Fuji San!

Absolutely terrible experience at Fuji San tonight. Used to be a regular, but after this, I won't be back.

I ordered my usual dish, the one I always get - you know, the dependable one they can't possibly mess up. Well, mess up they did! When got home and tried the dish, it was completely wrong. I called the restaurant to explain the mistake, hoping for a quick resolution.

Here's where things went downhill fast. Instead of admitting their error, they argued with me, insisting I ordered incorrectly! After a frustrating conversation, they finally "offered" to exchange the dish, on one condition: that I drive 20 minutes back to the restaurant (which was about to CLOSE in 3 min ) to pick up the correct order!

This is unbelievable! It's clear they don't care about customer service or satisfaction. Their only concern seems to be being "right" and keeping my money, even if it means leaving a customer high and dry (with the wrong food!).

If you're looking for a restaurant that values its customers and offers even a basic level of service, avoid Fuji San at all costs!

Update:

Your previous response came across as arrogant, and the lack of acknowledgment of my concerns only reinforces my point about the need for improvement in your customer...
