The first thing to mention about Full On is that, if you don't know its there, it is easy to miss! It does have a sign that's visible from the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Norbeck Road, but it's faded and during the day it doesn't stick out. They are also not listed on the freestanding lighted sign for the shopping center. This place has been here for years, and I've eaten at the other three restaurants in the shopping center without even seeing it. The only thing that led me there were the articles about it being the best/one of the best sandwich places anywhere in the state/country. SO, keep your eyes open. (Same corner shopping center as Big Greek Cafe and EaThai restaurants. Located next to the barber shop.)

OK...having said all that, let's consider the food. All the hype about this place...isn't hype. Even after just my first visit, I can say that this is one of the best sandwich places you are ever likely to eat at, anywhere. It has been a very long time since Montgomery County has had a truly great, iconic sandwich restaurant. Not since the legendary Roy's Place (formerly in Gaithersburg) has this area had an primo, over-the-top place like Full On Craft Eats & Drinks.

When I saw the menu, I really struggled to choose. Everything looked great. With the help of my servers, I settled on the "Le Pilgrim". Yep...if you're one of those people (like me) who loves to eat Thanksgiving dinner all year round, this generous sub packed with fresh roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce is the thing for you. It also comes with a bowl of turkey gravy to dunk with. All sandwiches come with their fresh kettle chips, or you can upgrade to onion rings, coleslaw, or a side salad for $1.50. I did the onion rings and they were among the best I've ever had. Huge portion with large cut rings and a unique, crunchy battered crust. They come with Full On's BBQ ranch sauce. I made only one mistake with this meal: I ordered the Tomato Basil Bisque. Not that is wasn't hot, delicious, and well-garnished with homemade croutons and cheese. It was that I realized after all the food arrived that it was too much food. By the time I had the soup and ate half the sandwich and less than half the onion rings, I was stuffed! I literally left with enough food for dinner.

As for the price, it is as premium as the quality of the food. This is one of those restaurants where you are reminded that you get what you pay for. Sandwich platters will range from $14 to $19. Salads are all $17. Soups/sides/appetizers range from $5 to $14. Not cheap, but this ain't Subway! Nor, is it Jersey Mike's, where you'll spend about the same amount for a vastly inferior, assembly line sandwich. This place offers great value for money.

The only other thing I would mention is that the staff and the atmosphere is wonderful. A very clean, uncluttered, pleasant place to eat. Service is fast and the food was delivered fresh and hot. My waitress read my mind about one thing: This is the kind of restaurant that you contemplate trying everything on the menu. If you haven't been here,...

Updating my review based on my current experience: One of the owners, Julie, reached out to me and was sincerely apologetic about my experience. She rectified the issues with past orders and communicated with me over many weeks to ensure everything was settled. I did go back and they took extra care to make sure my sandwich was correct. They make some of the best sandwiches and I am glad to be able to return knowing they are actively trying to be better and paying extra attention to orders. Full On has repeated demonstrated lack of quality and lack of ability to fulfill my order correctly 4 times back to back. I order their club sandwich, and they have options to customize. I order the same thing every time - all turkey instead of turkey and ham, and also removing tomato. They cannot get it right. I spoke with management and anytime I was told I would be getting a refund I never received. When I informed them that I had looked back at my bank statement and never received refunds they told me I'd have to reach out to the owner via email. Poor service and lack of quality control. If they cannot handle simple changes to their menu items they should not offer them. I gave them a 4-6 week break as they mentioned they had new people in the kitchen. I went back today and same issues- sandwich was missing red pepper and had tomatoes, despite my order stating no tomato. They have messed up every single order this entire summer with little to no customer service to ensure they keep me as a customer. Do not recommend as they quality has gone down...

Called in for take out and was told there would be 30 minute wait, which is fine I tell them I am a few minutes away and will wait there until it is done, I dont mind waiting as I prefer to get my food as soon as it is ready sonit is nice and hot. I get there within a few minutes tell them I just called in a couple minutes ago and pay. They tell me it will still be a little bit of a wait which I let them know I am aware. I wait right next the host stand along with a few people who are there also waiting for their food. They continue bringing bags out, putting some on the table, and bringing bags directly to everyone who is waiting. So I continue to sit and wait patiently as I know they are busy. After a long while one of the hosts asks what it is I am waiting for, I let her know and she goes over to the table and picks up one of the bags they drop off their about 10 minutes before and says, "oh, here's your food". When I ask why someone went and left it on the table instead of handing it to me like everyone else who was waiting received their food, she said, "I mean it is still warm". I asked her the question again, and she responded by immediately getting a manager. Not sure if the manager was completely burnt out from the rush , but I got a weak sorry from the manager. I had him remove my tip from the order and left. So after my 6 minute drive home my wings that should have been pretty hot still had I received them when they were ready, could only be considered not...

Full On is a delightful local restaurant that specializes in craft food and drinks, offering a cozy yet lively atmosphere. Despite its smaller size, the space is well-utilized, with seating available for both intimate gatherings and slightly larger parties. There is also a small bar tucked in the back that provides a great spot to enjoy as well. Our meal began with an order of onion rings, a standout appetizer that exemplifies the restaurant’s commitment to quality. Hand-battered and fried to order, they arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. For our main courses, we sampled the Reuben sandwich, the French dip, and the meatloaf sandwich. Each was served with house-made chips and a dipping sauce that complemented the sandwiches beautifully. The freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable and supports their promise of made-to-order entrées. The service was both friendly and efficient, even with the restaurant bustling throughout our visit. The steady flow of both dine-in guests and takeout orders was a testament to the restaurant’s popularity. Despite the limited parking and compact dining area, the overall experience was great. I would certainly recommend Full On to anyone seeking a unique yet reliably fresh take on classic sandwiches. With its inviting atmosphere, expertly crafted food, great drink selection, and attentive service, it’s a spot I look forward to revisiting to explore more of the menu.
