AMAZING STAFF!
We came here for a quick little coffee break together. But why the 3/5? LETS GET TO IT!
Staff: AMMMAZING STAFF! They are the sweetest and most welcoming staff when it comes to service. I came with my boyfriend and the tables were all full. They asked if we want to share a table which were two girls. BUT it was uncomfortable how the lady was like “of course! Why wouldn’t you guys not want to sit next to two beautiful ladies” It was kind of strange, because 1. I am with my boyfriend and even my boyfriend was like huh? Does it seem like I care if there’s beautiful girls on my table. 2. Are you saying that I’m not beautiful? 3. The girls giggled and kept staring at my man ignoring I was even there?
When we sat down the two girls kept checking out my boyfriend and kept looking at him NON STOP in front of me too. It was plain rude to check out another man in front of their gf. I understand, when I see somebody hot or gorgeous, I would take a look. But these girls kept staring at him with flirty eyes and STARING often every few minutes. It was a compliment that he’s hot BUT why u staring like u want to take him lol. We both noticed and he said let’s just go drink elsewhere. He didn’t feel comfortable and when we left. He said he didn’t like how the staff handled that by saying that comment. He also said, is this a club or something? I’m confused why the girls think this is a place to flirt or get a man’s attention lol. Which made my day to see that’s how I felt too 😂
Food: we were just here for drinks and desserts for a small little break. Coffee was great, maple cinnamon latte was plain and it cost $1 for oat milk. The crème brûlée was nice and light, I would get this again but the cookie was dry and generic. Nothing special. I would come back here for the crème brûlée!
Price: a bit pricy for a small local business
Interior: the walls are cute but it’s nothing too crazy.
Summary: staff is wonderful, but please keep in mind of what was said here from one of your staff and how it can turn out bad if it’s sitting with the wrong “set of woman whose...
Read moreI was looking for a healthy restaurant in Gaithersburg and I sincerely came across a gem.
I enjoyed the restaurant so much I ate there 3 days in a row.
The staff was incredible, they were extremely friendly regardless if the restaurant was packed or not. You genuinely feel like family while there.
Now lets talk about the food. They are making things from scratch and using premium ingredients such as avocado oil.
Chunky monkey pancakes: they pancakes were amazing. The came out super hot. How could you go wrong with a combination of banana, chocolate and maple syrup. The waffle was perfectly crunchy
Gluten free pancakes: the owner persuaded me to order this and im extremely glad she did. The pancakes were super light nearly to the point of melt in your mouth. You get eggs and protein with the dish. I choose turkey sausage and eggs which were both seasoned perfectly.
Green smoothie: I was told that these are new additions to their menu. While slightly pricey at $10, the smoothie was outstanding. It contained avocado, chia seeds, almond milk asking other ingredients. The smoothie was very creamy. They were able to accommodate my request of holding the sugar which pleased me.
Mama's pasteles (empanadas) - dare I say these were some of the best empanadas I've ever eaten. Unlike most empanadas these were light and not oily. They had a great texture and the meat and potatoes filling was amazing. They give you a side sauce that adds to the flavors.
Salvadoreño tipico - typical El Salvadorean breakfast. This food felt very comforting. Plantain, eggs, toast, beans. It's simple yet delicious. The homemade crema is to die for. I enjoyed it so much I ordered a side of plantains and crema.
Pesto pasta: like everything else, they make their own pesto. the dish had juicy chicken and the portion is big enough for 2 meals. My only complaint was the pesto wasxa little runny but other than that it was great.
This place is truly incredible I wish them the best. They take so much pride in what they do! Keep...
Read moreWow! What a lovely brunch spot. When I walked in the young lady greeted me right away. She asked if I wanted a menu. Knowing what I wanted I declined. I told her I was ready to order. She was polite, professional and bubbly.
I ordered a large mocha espresso, and a breakfast burrito. 🌯 The young lady asked if I had been to the cafe before.
After I placed my order the young lady brought me my coffee. It looked fantastic and I commented once I had a sip that it wasn’t too sweet. Perfect! She then brought me a chocolate muffin to enjoy with my coffee. She said because it was my first time at the cafe that I should try a muffin. It was moist and delicious and was perfect with my coffee. ☺️
My burrito came out. I asked for bacon, peppers, onions and mushroom. On the menu it lists:
Cage-free eggs served with your choice of three ingredients (list as seen on custom omelette), wrapped in an organic flour tortilla & served with homemade tomato sauce.
And the custom omelette on the menu:
Build your own omelette with three ingredients. Non-GMO cage-free eggs with sourdough toast & a hash brown potato cake. Upgrade to egg whites.Choose from bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach, mushroom, zucchini, pickled onions, bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, chicken, steak, Canadian ham, white cheddar cheese, provolone cheese, muenster cheese, pepper jack cheese, vegan cheese for toppings.
The burrito 🌯 was very hot fresh and delicious. The flour tortilla almost had an egg roll crisp to it which I really enjoyed. The tomato sauce was yummy and definitely added to the burrito. When I was ordering I did ask if I could add potatoes. She said no. I would have liked a little crunch. Overall very yummy though!
Everything together was the perfect amount of food for brunch. Service was lovely and the cafe was very charming. Definitely some place I would eat with a friend or family member and it was cozy.
Lastly the bathroom was perfectly clean and smelled amazing! I will...
