I recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share some feedback on my experience, both positive and constructive. I ordered the 16-oz T-bone steak, a baked potato with shrimp, fried mushrooms, and a funnel cake. First, I’d like to address customer service. Upon entering, I felt that the person seating me lacked a welcoming attitude, which made me feel somewhat unwelcome. However, my server, Kelly, was a bright spot in my visit. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and proactive in ensuring my dining experience was enjoyable. Her attention to detail and willingness to assist truly made a difference. Now, regarding the food: the fried mushrooms were served with ranch dressing and priced at $10.99. Unfortunately, I expected a larger serving and found that many of the mushrooms were quite small. While they were decent, I personally wouldn’t order them again. The baked potato could have been served hotter, which made it challenging to fully melt the refrigerated garlic butter. On a positive note, the shrimp was delicious and well-flavored—I would definitely order that again.
As for the T-bone steak, I requested it medium-well, but I found it to be lacking in flavor and seasoning, almost like plain cooked beef. I had to add salt to enhance the taste, and I also found it a bit tough to chew. On a high note, the funnel cake was exceptional—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and simply delightful. I would highly recommend that item! Lastly, I noticed that the host at the front door seemed preoccupied with his cell phone as I was leaving, which detracted from the overall experience. We were seated by one of four hostesses, but waited over 10 minutes for anyone to show up at the table. My wife suggested that we could just go ahead and go to the salad bar and maybe we would find someone to serve us. Before I went back to the table with my plate of salad, I stopped by the bar, and explained to the bartender, who had no customers at that time, that we had not yet seen a server. She stated she would bring us a couple of waters to drink. Although seated all the way across the restaurant, the bartender pleasantly served us water, and even brought us extra napkins after she took our order. We never did see another server who seemed to be interested in us. The bartender saved the restaurant from getting a one-star, and did an amazingly efficient job of serving us despite the fact that she actually was the bartender with other customers and responsibilities. We tipped her enough to encourage her to save her mismanaged restaurant again in the future.
