J-N-J Southern Kitchen — Restaurant in Maryland

For those that have given low ratings & negative things to say, I beg to differ. I have grown up eating at this place and have never had a poor thing to say about the service or the food and the business as a whole overall. I have only ever had yummy food & positive experiences here. I personally LOVE the mac & cheese as well as the ribs. It has been a signature favorite of mine since I've been coming here. It's always so rich and seasoned to perfection. All of the food we have ate here has been delicious. I'm sure the business owner(s) and team are taking ratings & feedback seriously & are working to rectify the situation(s) I can speak from experience that this business is committed to quality food & service in attempt to meet everyone's individual needs and strives for improvement based on customer wants and needs. Please eat here and give them another chance if you have had what you believe to be a "poor" experience. I am confident to say that this business strives to ensure diners are satisfied & happy with their meals and service and puts effort into taking complaints seriously in order to find or offer solutions to any problems or concerns. As for me. I am satisfied overall with this place & can only hope that those who were unsatisfied can trust & allow them another opportunity to...

We should have read reviews before trying this place out. I really regret it.

Extremely long delivery time for extremely unsatisfactory terrible food. I'm feeling pretty queasy after having eaten it, we should have just thrown it away but I couldn't bring myself to do it after having waited so long and paying over $40. I'm seriously regretting it now.

We got fried flounder which was cold, soggy and bland. The hush puppies were the best part of the entire meal. The biscuit I was given actually shattered because it was so hard and stale. The mac and cheese was bland and had an unpleasant texture. My wife got sweet potato fries, also a soggy heap. I tried the corn bread and commented to her that it tasted weird, kind of musty and she told me that's what food tastes like that is made by a heavy smoker. GROSS.

We got peach cobbler which was bland, soggy and not even a bit sweet. The chocolate cream cake was just meh. Not good, not horrible. Just store bought junk.

Eating here was a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and avoid it, don't get yourself...

Object Found In Food!!!!

I hope and pray that my review helps another consumer somewhere avoid the horrible mistake I made of ordering from J-N-J Southern. After waiting approximately 73 minutes for my deliver order, everything was horrible. The shrimp southern Louisiana rice was not only horrible , bland , and over cooked but had a sour fishy taste. I also bit down on a piece of plastic that was located in my rice! The Banana pudding was Flavorless with mushy vanilla wafers. The cabbage was almost the consistency, color and taste of kimchi! The Biscuit and Corn Bread were dry almost as if they were frozen.

After realizing that I could not possibly eat anything I had ordered, I called the restaurant just to be informed that if did not take more than one bite of something that I could not get a refund. Alex the “manager” was unprofessional and rude. He showed no remorse for the plastic I hurt myself with and lacked customer service skills. I’m sure he knows how horrible...
