This is a good spot. We went on a holiday so it was pretty busy. The staff: the staff was all courteous and helpful. We called ahead a little to reserve a seat and when we didn't like where they placed us, but they found us more seating in reasonable time (about 10 minutes). Our waiter was seasoned but seemed a little overwhelmed. He was definitely trying to be accommodating. The food: What I had wasnt bad but it wasnt overwhelming good either. My steak was flavorful but dry. Some of my kids got the grilled chicken breast meal from the Kids Menu. It was very bland and hard. It tasted like they didnt season them at all, just grilled it. We sent it back and the waiter gave them more chicken and free fries for the wait. My kids really enjoyed that. We also ordered salmon and shrimp. The volcano shrimp (appetizer) is better than the shrimp that comes with the salmon with shrimp entree. ( it was good. A little spicy but not so hot you can't taste it or feel your tongue.) The appetizers are huge!!! I ordered the chicken quesadillas. This could have been an entree! (This tasted just okay and it comes with honey mustard sauce, I think it would be better with the traditional sour cream and salsa.) Anyway the appetizers were huge. The volcano shrimp was enough for two people as well. As an entree, my kids had the bone in ribeye with fresh vegetables. They said it was "dee-LI-CIOUS!" ..at least the steak was. They barely touched the veggies. The bathrooms: Weren't the cleanest but I attribute that to the crowd also. Someone was obviously cleaning it and trying to keep the mess maintained. The floors needed mopping and the sinks and toilets needed a more constant cleaning. But no overflowed toilets or mysterious puddles. Not lose your appetite dirty but it needed more constant care. Oh, the handicapped bathroom has a sink in it! I really like that I dont have to share a sopping wet sink with other strange ppl. I think this place has a good manager. If it didnt, the crowd could have easily been a disastrous mess. But it held steady for...
Read moreWe have been to Outback in OM a number of times and while not perfect, usually an enjoyable experience. While waiting for our table, we saw one couple leave because no one waited on them. Shortly after (8:20), we were seated in the area where the couple came from. It took over 15 minutes for our waiter to finally come (8:35). He mentioned that he at first didn't realize that we were his table (wonder if the couple had sat there). He took our drink and appetizer order and rushed off. It took a long time for our drinks. We asked for silverware and plates. He brought out the bread, but we still didn't have silverware. He let us know that the bar ran out and had to restock. Hmmm. He had to ask which wine I ordered and what size. I asked what sizes, and he was unsure. Our appetizer came before our drinks. We then ordered our entriees, and our server didn't know all the dressings, had to ask us to repeat our order several times (not 2 but more like 3 or 4), or remember that certain specials didn't come with two sides. Later he came out to explain about the sides, and we asked for the menu which said two sides for regular (he didn't bring the specials menu). The manager came out and explained to us, and we adjusted our order. At that time, I was just irritated and wanting my food - it was after 9. Essentially, while he seemed like a nice guy, he was unprepared, uninformed, and slow. He totally forgot about us for the check - we waited more than 20 minutes to get his attention. By the time we got our dinner, the restaurant was no longer packed, so you would have thought service would have improved. So while we were seated at 8:20, we didn't leave until after 10:40 (& we didn't even order dessert). Although our other experiences were good enough, I'm not sure we'll be back. Even if the food is fine, poor service like that can...
Read moreNot very happy with tonight's visit on any level.
First they put a large group in the middle where there was barely room to walk between the back of their chairs and our table, definitely not abiding by the 6' social distancing rules.
Second I ordered my 8oz Sirloin Medium Well, explicitly said tiny bit of pink no blood, it came very much the opposite on the spectrum. I was starving and did not want to deal with waiting so we started eating.
Third, while eating we had several pcs of steak that were not edible they were grisly and even what was edible was very chewy, not at all the typical steak we usually get. I did ask for a manager, but her only solution was next time you should let us know.
Fourth, the waitress told me I could add 5 more Coconut Shrimp to my order for like $5 . I was happy with that and said ok. I was brought 4 normal shrimp and had to wait until long after we were done eating to get the 4 coconut ones. On top of that, the bill came and the extra shrimp for $5 was actually $5.99 which I guess was livable, but then it was added onto my bill twice so I had to get a manager again to have that fixed.
The person who brought us the food, never took away the dirty dishes we pushed to the edge. No one asked how things were or did we need anything else until long after we were done eating. Was extremely disappointed in the service and the food and mostly the manager for thinking that "let me know if that happens again" was...
