Nice chain restaurant associated with Outback. Bonefish served us well prepared food and had excellent service. Normally, I give a restaurant five stars if it even slightly exceeds my expectations. I deducted one star because this place met but didn't exceed my expectations and I deducted the other star because the corn and lump crab soup didn't have much crab meat. I specifically asked our server if the soup had lumps of Maryland crab, and he assured me that it did. It didn't. Normally, I don't order any crab dish from a restaurant chain that isn't local to Maryland and Delaware. Non local restaurant chains almost never do crab dishes correctly. That's why I asked the server about the lump crab meat in the soup. The soup actually tasted pretty good, but I could not detect any lump crab meat. I don't accept putting lump crab meat in the description of the soup when the actual crab meat in the soup is undetectable. Another visit, February '20. I had salmon caprese. It was excellent. My wife had Stuffed Striped Bass. The bass was stuffed with crab meat, shrimps and scallops. It was very good.. Her cousin had tuna steak, rare. It was too dry. That's a disappointment. I am leaving this review as a three star review. Ate here 12/17/24. As you can see, I don't eat at Bonefish Grill very often. This visit was also a disappointment. I had coho salmon. It was dry and uninspired. My wife makes much better salmon dishes at home. Service was good. Still a 3 star restaurant. I don't particularly recommend the Bonefish Grill in Owings Mills. Update 6/11/25. Had dinner here with two other couples. This time, I had the fish & chips, except that I requested grilled asparagus rather than the French fries that the British refer to as chips. The substitution was an effort to eat a healthy diet. It tasted great. My wife had some other kind of fish, and she enjoyed it. So I added one star to my previous 3 star rating.

This is really a three and half star review but I figure I would round up for the decor, the wait staff and my husbands' review. The waitstaff were great. I wouldn't want to go back simply because the food didn't, "WoW!" me. My husband however loved it and this maybe his new favorite restaurant. For me: I ordered the wagyu beef potstickers, house salad and wood grilled trout with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The WAYGU BEEF POTSTICKERS: were underwhelming. While beautiful in presentation, the beef inside was mushy and not very flavorful and sauce was overly salty and I like a little salt. I would not recommend you order this. The HOUSE SALAD was delicious. The dressing, tossed into the salad, was perfect in amount. The juice of the kalamata olives and tomatoes added the perfect bursts of sweet and salty. The olives were pitted, which made the dish easier to eat. WOOD GRILLED RAINBOW TROUT: The smokiness was nice, but it lacked any flavor on its own. The sauces that came with it were ... the look and quality was similar to the container of garlic "sauce" you get with pizza...only less flavorful. GARLIC WHIPPED POTATOES: Light, fluffy and a good portion size but too much garlic. Just a tad too much. Other wise they were good. STRING BEANS: Cooked perfectly with a little seasoning. Held it shape but cut easily with a knife. Not mushy at all. Very nice. My husband had the Wagyu beef as well. He concurred on the lack of beef flavor and mushiness of the meat (and Yes I understand the process of making potstickers. But if I see Wagyu I want outstanding beef flavor.) He also had the bang bang shrimp, crab cakes and Ceasar salad. He said they were very good and was excited to come back. If he wants, we would come back again but I would order different items.

TL;DR: Bonefish Grill used to be one of my favorite spots—especially for salmon and their crab soup—but in recent years the food has become inconsistent. While the ciabatta bread is still fantastic, the soup is often lukewarm and overly salty, and the salmon is frequently overcooked. I hope they can return to the quality and consistency they were once known for to me. --- Bonefish Grill has long been one of my favorite places to dine, but unfortunately, in recent years the food has declined and become inconsistent. For a restaurant named Bonefish Grill, it was always my go-to spot for salmon, but lately the quality has been disappointing. That said, their seemingly freshly baked ciabatta bread remains as excellent as ever. My usual order starts with a bowl of Lump Crab Soup, paired with the ciabatta bread. The combination works beautifully—the soup-soaked bread delivers a satisfying crunch followed by a soft, flavorful center. Historically, the soup has been reliably delicious, but lately it has been served lukewarm and far too salty. By the end of the bowl, I often need a full glass of water just to balance the saltiness and dryness on my palate. For the main course, I typically order one of their salmon dishes. In the past, the salmon was cooked to perfection: slightly crisp on the outside, tender and slightly pink on the inside, never dry, and wonderfully decadent. Sadly, more recently the salmon has often arrived overcooked and dry, with the only saving grace being the sauce—masking what used to be an excellent standalone dish. I truly hope Bonefish Grill can bring back the consistency, flavor, and quality that once made it one of my favorite dining destinations.

Went with a party of 8 people for my cousin's bday. Service wasn't great. Food wasn't great. Manager/ Owner lied to my face. 6 out of 8 people in my group either had something wrong with their dish, their check or both. I ordered the ahi tuna "a regular" which is what it is called on the menu. I was brought out a large I said I'll take the LG but don't want to be charge extra bc I ordered a reg. I was told there are only 2 sizes small and LG the menu clearly says/ said regular, but thats neither here nor there. The waiters insisted upon taking the dish back and making a new one (we all know that makes 0 sense, but I was so hungry I didn't think about it. The dish was brought back to me myself and 2 of my cousins could clearly see the food streaks from where half the dish was slid off the plate. Other members of our party had burnt steaks. The bday girl sent her steak back and recieved a severely undercooked steak. To make matters worse our waiter had to be new and was apologetic (so I don't entirely fault him), but there was a crowd of 5 waitresses at the door having a very loud conversation and I know they couldn't all be hostesses (they could've helped him or someone out). The manager/ owner? Was no better someone in my party complained about an upcharge on their bill for something they hadn't ordered and I figured I'd tell him about what happened with me he proceeds to lie to my face telling me they made me a new dish and he saw them- when my dish was being taken away I clearly saw him at another table where complaints about the food were being made as well-- so how dare he? Like just don't lie. I also want to note there were not many customers dining that day so I cannot fault it to oh it was busy. They did try to make some "ammends" by offering our party a free bang bang shrimp coupon, but when I tried to order to go the server said "that's not how that works." As if waiting extremely long for our food, being given mixed up orders, the wrong total on checks was not poor enough service we weren't even allowed to use our coupon the same day. I definitely will not be back -1 star. Go to Outback if you want great, friendly customer service, delicious food, and to eat in a...
