I have been to Jersey Mike’s many times. We choose this eatery because of the gluten free roll option. (Note that we have a sensitivity, not an allergy, so cross contamination is not an issue, but if we ate a gluten roll we’d be sick.) Today, while ordering, the first employee to start taking our order was asking us what we wanted while she was assembling the order for the lady in front of us. I wondered how she’d remember our answers. Then, before she even started assembling our sandwiches, she started asking the guy behind us what he wanted—even down to the toppings, which someone else was taking care of. Like me, he seemed perplexed. It was like she wasn’t really giving anyone her full attention so everyone was getting sub-par customer service. Then when I asked her to toast my roll, she refused because it was gluten free and the grill is used for gluten bread. This was right after she asked me if it was ok to give us half of a gluten free roll that had already been opened and set aside because someone used a knife on it that touched gluten and it was already cross contaminated—to which we said yes (because again, that’s ok for us, which we’d already told her). I had to ask her four times and tell her it was fine for me to share the grill and ask if there was a manager before she finally threw it on the grill. I told her I like it toasted because otherwise it’s dry, and she said, “that’s just how gluten free bread is; it’s dry.” Say what?? I’ve been gluten free for eight years and I’m pretty sure I know more about gluten free than she does. Plus, it’s my sandwich—that I’m eating and paying for! The man behind me said this just made him realize he really needed to be next door at Five Guys because he didn’t like her attitude and wouldn’t support a business with bad service, and he walked out. I don’t know this girl’s name because no one wore a name tag but had red hair and tattoos down her left arm. Whoever she is, she’s giving the company a bad name and should be fired!

When the young lady gave me sub from grill asked for pickles honestly felt like she threw the one container down! We should have left!!!!They were out of swet tea My husband said they were out sweet tea. We sat at a dirty table to eat being we do not live around the corner 5:30 still no seet tea. When asked about the manager the young man with the chain with the letter S told me the manager is off on slow days, 3 of them are the same rank the other two must of been new. The one young man agreed with me while checking out the tables were dirty and he just came to work. Again no tables were cleaned while we were there.We did see the young man wiped the counter down then same rag wiped the knife GREAT TRAINING HERE Yes i told them i was calling the owner unless i call health department 1st. We will be notifying the health department on many issues on this visit. For the price i can get a steak dinner abd have clean tables and good service. Read moreI wanted to give this store 5 stars, but I just can't bring myself to do that. The customer service is amazing and the food is great, but my sub is only made right about half of the time. I do however appreciate that they are ALWAYS willing to correct their mistakes and make it right. I will continue to order from here because like I said, the food is great and the employees are very polite, helpful, and always greet you when you walk in and tell you to "have a nice day" when you leave.
Update: I think I'm just done ordering from this store. I stopped going there for a while because they just couldn't seem to make the sub I ordered correctly. I decided to give them another chance yesterday, but surprise surprise.....still wrong smh. I don't understand why it's so hard for them to read a ticket and make the sub accordingly.
