Ledo Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

On our way driving back to PA from Myrtle beach, decided to try and stop for lunch for a quick bite to eat & bathroom break in Bethesda, MD. I should have known better as soon as we entered the establishment as the place looked run down & wasn't very clean as the empty tables weren't really wiped down and can notice crumbs and oil/grease spots on chairs & table tops & the floors were all stained & looked like they haven't been cleaned in ages. The bathroom was comparable to gas station bathrooms being dirty & toilet paper roll was just sitting out as the dispenser looked broken/cracked & looked like the bathroom isn't cleaned on a daily basis. Fast forward to our meals, I ordered the cheese-steak & my gf ordered a gyro & they do NOT offer slices of pizza to be ordered which that was a first for me for a pizza restaurant chain. Both our sandwiches were very very small & did not come with any sides besides a pickle. My cheese-steak tasted like a store bought frozen version & the cheese used you can tell was either in commercial can as it was very very watery & thin & extremely salty that none of the other flavors could be enjoyed & the gyro was very mediocre as well with very thin minimal slices of meat. This was probably TOP 5 worst pizza places I've ever been to & I'm shocked that many reviews are opposite as they rave about their pizza & other dishes. In my opinion this is definitely foods that kids/high school kids would love as its cheap options & basically junk food & definitely caters to the typical American diet of saltiness/deep fried flavors. Had higher standards for a higher end city/town of MD. Definitely will make sure to never stop by here again...

We stopped at Westlake Montgomery Mall to charge up our car on our way back from Pennsylvania. Decided to check out Ledo Pizza while we waited for the car to charge. Very glad we did.

For those unfamiliar with Ledo, as we were, it is a cozy neighborhood pizza and pasta restaurant. We were walking our dog when we stopped to check out the menu. The folks inside told us we were welcome to sit on the patio with our dog while we ate. A nice and welcome surprise after being stuck in the car for hours.

Lanaiysia was our server and was excellent. She made sure we didn’t want for anything. She was even kind enough to offer to bring a bowl of water out for our dog. When we were ready to leave she had a box, our bill and two to-go cups of soda waiting for us when I went to pay the bill.

As for the food we had the pizza which was tasty and plentiful. Just so you know ahead of time before ordering these folks do not skimp on the food portions. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza. Which actually ended up being two sheet pizzas. With the help of our dog we managed to almost finish one. The other fit nicely into our to-go box.

Needless to say Ledo gets, and deserves high marks all the way around. Good food, at a good price, with amazing, friendly service with a smile.

Don’t know when we’ll have the chance to get back to Ledo, as we live in Norfolk Virginia and Charleston South Carolina respectively. However if we do find ourselves anywhere near their location again we will be...

Horrible service! This was my FIRST time coming here, and now I will never come back. I am amazed at how many positive reviews there are if this is what I experienced. The food was actually great, so was the price. But at the end of the meal I ask my waitress for a to-go box and she just leaves, and never comes back. I see her in the front 15 minutes later laughing and talking with other employees. I'm sitting there with the check and card in my hand and every employee is just walking by me like I don't exist. She then proceeds to head to a huge group that just came in, and starts taking their orders!

I walk to the front and tell the guy standing there about what happened and...wait for it...he tells me I HAVE to wait for the waitress. I ask if I can pay up front...and he says no....I'm being completely serious here. He waves me off to the side so he can take a to-go order from someone who just walked in. I'm just standing there until a random guy who looks angry comes up and takes my ticket so I can give them my money.

First time...and definitely last. I am completely baffled at these positive reviews, did they hire a completely new staff since the last...
