Panda Express — Restaurant in Maryland

Rarely am I ever prompted to post a negative review. Stood inside the store waiting to be served as the staff filled almost a dozen orders for others through drive-thru. Seems the staff is so fixated on speed, speed, speed that drive-thru received precedence. Worse, when they finally got around filling the order, they were so fixated on speed that they never finished it and the employee walked away to start filling another order for drive-thru. My wife and I stood there waiting another few minutes for someone else to come by and mess up the order because she was trying to figure out where it was left off from the other employee. Wife wanted three entree and the staff walked away in the middle of filling the order to only do two entrees. To be clear, if they had more staff, they wouldn't be fixated filling orders from all ends of the spectrum. In short, if you really want Panda Express, go through drive-thru. You still won't get smiles, a welcome or a thank you, but you will apparently get your order quicker than dining in. Photo enclosed to verify I was there. I've had good experiences at other Panda Express locations, so I decided to try this one too in the evening on my way home. The parking area for this Panda Express is rather small but you can always park in the Target parking lot next door and walk over. The bigger problem is, like the other Panda Express locations I've tried, the dining area is pretty small. However, the Saturday night crowd didn't quite fill up the dining area, so I guess it's not a problem.

The food is pretty much the same as other Panda Express locations, with very minor differences. I found that the Beijing Beef here is not as crisp as the Dover location. Also, the Sweetfire Chicken was a lot more sweet than fire. Based on Yelp reviews I read, I thought service might be a problem but it wasn't. Everything went smoothly from the start of my order to the end. I guess the staff had sufficient time to train since January, when most of the worst complaints were posted.

On April 1st, I ordered a family meal from online and paid full. Drove the location to pick up my meal and it was not ready due to their Internet problem. I showed my online order receipt, but they told me that they can only prepare a meal from their order system. They asked me to try later time. I waited the parking lot for another 20 minutes and try the drive though again. And they told me that they were closed. I tried to call Panda several times for my refund, but couldn't talk to a person, so ask my bank to cancel the transaction with the reason. Panda just charge me again. I wasted more than a hour on April 1st and couple more hours to get the refund of $29.15. I guess Panda doesn't understand that someone make more than $29.15 per hour. Panda should pay me my...
